ABOUT MAYFAIR

Mayfair is a Private Family Office, and we launched in October 2026. We are new, we are doing things differently, and we have brought together experienced talent from the family office world to do it.

THE ROLE

You will run financial operations for the families we serve, across their personal, holding, operating, trust and foundation entities. You will report to Chris Canavan, President, and work day to day with each family's Client Chief of Staff and with our Banking & Treasury function. To start, the role is hands-on: you do the work yourself.

What you'll do

- Run the monthly close through consolidation across each family's entities

- Own budgets, cash forecasts, variance reporting and cash flow scenarios

- Produce property-level reporting for real estate holdings

- Manage shared cost allocation and debt covenants

- Handle household payroll and donor-advised fund and foundation administration

- Collect tax documents through the year and track K-1s and slips

- Prepare the year-end file and work with the firm of record through any review or audit

- Put internal controls in place inside each family's finance function

- Work with Banking & Treasury on cash, capital calls and payment schedules

- Partner with each family's Client Chief of Staff

- Contribute input on systems and processes

This is not a tax role. Tax & Structures owns tax planning and structuring.

What you bring

- CPA (Canadian designation required; a US CPA is also valued)

- 10+ years of progressive finance experience across multiple entities

- Controller-level or above experience inside a single- or multi-family office serving ultra-high-net-worth families

- US experience and comfort working across jurisdictions

- Strong banking and treasury knowledge: cash management, payments and controls, lenders and FX

- Experience building finance systems from scratch

- The judgment to work directly with principals and their advisors

- You live in Canada and are legally entitled to work in Canada, and you are able and willing to travel to the US

THE DETAILS

Base salary range: $190,000 to $235,000 CAD per year. Where you land in the range reflects your experience.

Based anywhere in Canada, remote-friendly, and available during core business hours. 37.5 hours a week, with flexible scheduling for client time zones. Periodic travel in Canada and the US, with expenses covered.
