Join a mission-driven team shaping the future of large-scale biologics manufacturing. As Head of Global S&OP, Large Scale, you will architect and lead a network-wide S&OP and IBP model across multiple sites. You will set governance, standards, and decision rights across near-term, mid-term, and long-range horizons, uniting demand signals with capacity realities to optimize customer commitments, regulatory compliance, asset utilization, revenue, margin, and OTIF. You will convert insights into executable plans, portfolio choices, and investment cases while aligning Commercial, Finance, Program Management, Technical Operations, Quality, Site Operations, and Supply Chain.
In this role, you will be a force multiplier for FUJIFILM Biotechnologies’ growth and reliability. Your work will shape how we commit to customers, reduce lead times, and balance a demanding pipeline with GMP realities—directly influencing revenue, margin, and on‑time, in‑full performance. By instituting a single source of truth, harmonizing standards across sites, and translating scenarios into clear decisions, you will elevate operational discipline, inform investment choices, and strengthen our reputation as a trusted CDMO partner. Your leadership in governance and data will accelerate speed to clinic and market for our customers while building a more resilient, high‑performing global network for FUJIFILM Biotechnologies.
What you’ll do
- Lead the global S&OP and IBP cadence across S&OE, S&OP, and long-range horizons; chair key forums; enforce one set of numbers; maintain decision logs and pre‑reads; uphold data cut‑offs and plan integrity.
- Build and maintain a 36-month rolling demand and supply view by modality and asset family; align site plans to the network; risk‑weight demand; translate to capacity; surface upstream, downstream, QC, and warehousing gaps; publish heat maps and run regular true‑ups.
- Model finite capacity at campaign level; reflect changeovers, cleaning, shifts, materials, utilities, maintenance, qualification, and QA/QC throughput; simulate sequence‑dependent setups and single‑use versus stainless; recommend feasible, compliant scenarios with clear trade‑offs and timelines.
- Consolidate and present network demand, supply, risks, and mitigations to senior leaders; deliver executive dashboards and narratives; escalate cross‑site conflicts; align with customer governance.
- Partner with Commercial and Program Management to unify the demand signal; set slotting rules and hold windows; manage a visible slot ledger; translate SoW changes into capacity impacts; coordinate onboarding to minimize disruption and accelerate readiness.
- Run network scenario planning and portfolio simulations; use playbooks and triggers; quantify outcomes on service, utilization, cost, and margin; recommend load balancing, external partnerships, or flex capacity; present sensitivities and track actuals versus models.
- Define and standardize planning master data and assumptions for routings, cycle times, yields, lot sizes, and changeovers; set ownership and change governance; recalibrate against actuals; ensure validation and QA approvals; harmonize taxonomy across ERP and APS tools.
- Guide site leadership on capacity definitions, debottlenecking, and productivity; align capacity with hiring, training, maintenance, and validation calendars; confirm true bottlenecks; prioritize setup reduction, parallel processing, and analytics; track realized benefits and update assumptions.
- Establish S&OP and IBP KPIs and analytics for forecast accuracy, bias, plan adherence, asset utilization, OTIF, schedule stability, and lead‑time trends; define formulas and lineage; publish a KPI dictionary; build automated dashboards; implement data quality controls; review performance and trigger continuous improvement.
- Drive S&OP integration with Finance; connect volume, mix, and pricing to revenue and margin; support long‑range and annual planning; provide financial bridges for scenarios such as capex, subcontracting, or slot moves; maintain a joint assumptions register with timely updates.
- Develop evidence based business cases for capex and network design, including new trains and suites, additional shifts, and external partnerships; define triggers and indicators; partner across Engineering, MSAT, QA, and Finance; present to investment bodies; track benefits and refine the network design.
- Represent S&OP in Tech Transfers, New Product Introduction, and Network Strategy; embed checkpoints in stage gates; verify QA/QC staffing, method readiness, and raw materials; coordinate blackout periods and campaign switches; guide slotting for NPIs and scale‑ups.
- Coach and mentor site S&OP and Supply Planning leads; build a community of practice; set capability standards and maturity expectations; deliver targeted training and playbooks; share best practices and KPI outcomes; elevate scenario modeling, executive storytelling, and change leadership.
- Perform other duties as needed to advance enterprise planning excellence.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data and Analytics, or a related science or technical field with extensive progressive experience in supply chain, demand and supply planning, or operations in complex multi‑site and global environments; or a Master’s degree in the same fields with substantial progressive experience in similar settings.
- Significant experience leading S&OP or equivalent planning functions.
- Demonstrated expert capability designing and governing S&OP and IBP processes, decision rights, and standards; recognized as an enterprise‑level authority influencing strategy and outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of large‑scale biologics manufacturing planning, including campaign planning, equipment trains, changeover strategies, and QC and release capacity in GMP environments.
- Proven success balancing customer service, asset utilization, and profitability through scenario planning and portfolio decision‑making.
- Proficiency with planning tools and analytics; strong data fluency and modeling skills.
- Track record presenting to executive leadership and steering committees; builds trust and alignment across Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Site leaders.
- Understanding of GMP, validation, and regulatory constraints that affect capacity and planning.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree such as an MBA or MS in Supply Chain or Operations.
- Professional certifications such as APICS or ASCM CPIM or CSCP; Lean or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt a plus.
- CDMO experience.
