About the Company:

Navo Health is a medtech startup, building frontier AI models and clinical decision support systems to interpret cardiotocography or CTG (fetal heart rate and uterine activity) signals. By translating complex heart rate and uterine activity patterns into clinically meaningful insights, we help obstetric teams make faster, safer, and more consistent decisions during labor and prenatal monitoring.

About the Role:

Every manufacturer device we work with has its own sensor characteristics, signal output, and connectivity profile. While in our early stages, moving from pilot and validation work into active deployment with manufacturer and hospital partners, this role owns making sure our models are properly tuned and optimized for the physical hardware of each manufacturer we work with, so performance holds regardless of whose device the signal is coming from. This role requires genuine fluency in hardware — sensor architecture, signal chains, device-level constraints — not just software integration, and will be positioned to take on direct hardware ownership as Navo Health's product roadmap evolves.

Reports to: Founder & CEO

Location: Singapore preferred. Open to remote candidates — this role is partner-facing and cross-functional by nature, so remote arrangements need a demonstrated track record of self-directed work ethic and commitment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work directly with manufacturer/OEM partners' engineering teams to understand each device's sensor characteristics and signal output, and translate that into model calibration and optimization specific to their hardware

  • Build out the technical process for per-device model tuning, so a hospital using one partner's device gets performance as strong as one using another's

  • Evaluate hardware-level specs and design tradeoffs from partner devices — sensor selection, signal-to-noise characteristics, front-end design choices — to inform where and how our models can be optimized

  • Partner with the CTO on firmware and embedded signal processing considerations for integrations where our models would run on-device, and provide hardware-level input into the CTO's hospital systems integration work (EMR/EHR connectivity, central monitoring station compatibility, labour ward equipment interoperability) where relevant

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for manufacturer partners on hardware and integration questions, distinct from the clinical/commercial relationship

  • Stay current on sensor and wearable device architecture more broadly, so Navo Health is well-positioned to make informed build-vs-partner hardware decisions as our technology and market position evolve

Who we're looking for:

  • Strong technical background in medical device hardware and signal processing — enough to speak credibly with manufacturer engineering teams about sensor characteristics, signal-to-noise, and calibration

  • Hands-on experience with PCB/electrical design, embedded systems, or wearable/sensor device development — even if the day-to-day here is largely integration-facing rather than build-facing

  • Comfortable being the technical counterpart in partner relationships, translating between our AI/software team and external manufacturer engineering teams

  • Experience working alongside firmware/embedded engineers and a CTO-level software counterpart

  • Comfortable in a pre-seed environment, building this function from the ground up as we move toward deployment

  • Prior MedTech experience preferred; familiarity with FDA/EU MDR/HSA device integration requirements is a plus

Compensation:

Equity is a meaningful part of the package for this role, reflecting both Navo Health's early stage and the scope of ownership involved. The specific allocation will be discussed as part of the offer, ahead of our upcoming raise.
