Head of International Expansion

Role Description The Head of International Expansion is a part-time hybrid role based in Ajman, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees the development and execution of international growth strategies, identifying priority markets and building partnerships with global gaming and esports entities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market analysis, defining entry strategies, negotiating collaboration agreements, and coordinating with internal teams on localization, marketing, and product initiatives. The role also involves representing Abu Dhabi Gaming at international events, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and monitoring performance metrics to refine expansion plans. The Head of International Expansion collaborates closely with leadership to align international activities with Abu Dhabi Gaming’s overall vision for the UAE gaming sector.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in international business development, market expansion, or strategy within gaming, esports, entertainment, or related digital industries.
• Strong skills in market research, data analysis, and strategic planning to assess opportunities and risks in new regions.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage partnerships, alliances, and stakeholder relationships across multiple countries and cultures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment, with strong self-management and remote collaboration capabilities.
• Knowledge of global gaming and esports trends, regulatory considerations, and regional nuances in player and developer communities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is beneficial.
• Fluency in English; additional languages and experience in the Middle East or emerging markets are an advantage.
