About the Job
Orbital Eye is a global pioneer and market leader in monitoring critical infrastructure from space. With our COSMIC-EYE service, we help operators of pipelines, electricity networks and other critical assets monitor their infrastructure continuously, more effectively and at scale.
We are leading a fundamental shift in our industry, moving from periodic inspections to continuous monitoring powered by satellites. We have a proven international track record and operational contracts running for years across multiple continents, and we are now accelerating our growth. We are expanding in electricity networks, entering new infrastructure markets and aiming to become a €100 million plus business within the next five years.
That is where you come in. As our first Head of Marketing, you will lead the next phase of our marketing and communications function and make it a key driver of our international growth.
Why This Role Matters
This is a newly created position with a strong foundation to build on. Our technology and market position are proven, and now we want the world to see it. You will turn our market leadership into greater visibility, stronger customer engagement and commercial success.
This is a key role in a growing deep tech company with proven technology and a leading market position. You’ll get the chance to shape and lead a full business function, working closely with senior management and our commercial teams. Additionally, you’ll have the freedom and responsibility to develop marketing your way, bring your ideas to life and see your impact on our international growth.
Your Role
You will lead the development of our marketing function across six core pillars:
Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and execute an integrated international marketing and channel strategy aligned with
our business objectives, growth ambitions and market priorities. Set clear plans, priorities,
budgets and KPIs so marketing becomes a measurable contributor to business growth.
Brand Positioning & Corporate Communications:
Strengthen Orbital Eye’s position and reputation as the global leader in infrastructure
monitoring from space. Ensure a compelling and consistent brand story across markets,
channels and stakeholders, supported by integrated communications and proactive media
engagement.
Demand Generation & Commercial Growth: Develop targeted account-based marketing programmes that support international business
development and sales. Build better insights through structured market and competitor
analyses, Business Intelligence/CRM and customer feedback programmes. Engage key
decision makers at major infrastructure operators, strengthen customer relationships and
create qualified commercial opportunities.
Content Marketing, Events & Thought Leadership: Build our authority and visibility through compelling content, customer success stories,
industry publications, media relations and thought leadership. Lead and further
professionalise our international programme of conferences, exhibitions and presentations,
making sure each one has maximum impact and supports our commercial priorities. Grow
and engage our international user community through user conferences, knowledge sharing
and other customer initiatives.
Digital Marketing & Performance: Strengthen our digital channels and tools to improve market reach, customer engagement
and marketing effectiveness. Own our corporate website and social media and their ongoing
development as key platforms. Introduce a more structured approach to campaign
management and performance measurement, grounded in data and making smart use of
marketing technology, business intelligence and AI.
Sales Alignment & Team Development: Build a closely integrated approach between marketing and sales, so marketing supports
commercial priorities across regions and infrastructure segments. Lead and develop the
existing marketing team, strengthen internal capabilities and coordinate external specialists
and agencies where needed.
What We’re Looking For
You are an experienced B2B marketer who combines strategic insight, commercial understanding and the drive to make things happen. You bring:
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally in an international B2B technology, deep tech, industrial or infrastructure business
- A strong track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive commercial growth
- Experience with complex B2B markets, high value contracts, long sales cycles and account-based marketing
- The ability to translate sophisticated technology into clear, compelling market propositions
- Strong knowledge of brand positioning, marketing communications, digital marketing, media relations and demand generation
- Experience leading and developing a small team, working with senior management and partnering closely with sales
- A strategic mindset combined with a practical, entrepreneurial and hands on approach
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a focus on measurable results
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and fluency in English and Dutch
Above all, you enjoy taking ownership, building capabilities and making a visible contribution to the growth of an ambitious international company.
