Show job description
We're hiring a Head of Marketing to build the marketing system that helps PAIR define and own the AI adoption category, and turns that position into qualified pipeline and revenue.

Enterprises are spending heavily on tools like ChatGPT, Copilot and Claude, but most still struggle to turn that investment into changed behaviour and measurable outcomes. PAIR is the adoption layer that closes that gap. We now work with more than 400 organisations and 40,000 users, including PwC, the MTC and Mimecast, and we’ve expanded into the US, all without yet building the marketing function our next stage needs.

You won’t inherit a finished marketing machine. You’ll build it. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll set the strategy, and you’ll also write, edit, build, test and ship. You’ll start by doing much of the work yourself, adding the right people and systems as priorities become clear, in a business of around 50 people today that could be 200 next year.

What you'll own

  • The marketing strategy: One clear plan connecting our narrative, target accounts, campaigns, events, content, PR, website, lifecycle marketing and customer evidence to qualified pipeline and revenue.
  • The pipeline engine: A repeatable engine across campaigns, lifecycle marketing, the website, partnerships, events and paid activity, with HubSpot giving a reliable view of qualified pipeline and revenue.
  • The AI adoption category: Use PR, research and thought leadership to make our CEO and internal experts leading voices on enterprise AI adoption.
  • Events: Manage our Global Events Lead, making sure every event we host or attend creates real opportunities.
  • Customer proof: Turn customer results into visible evidence through case studies, announcements, impact data, research and customer voices.
In the same week, you might shape a new category narrative with the founders, review pipeline in HubSpot, launch an account campaign and sharpen a press pitch. You’ll have room to experiment, and you’ll be expected to know what worked, what didn’t and what to do next.

What we're looking for

We hire for aptitude, hunger and a bias to action over years of experience. This role works best for someone whose best work has come from building the answer, without needing a large team, a mature dataset or a finished brief to make progress.

You'll bring evidence of:
  • Leading marketing in a high-growth B2B technology company, and being able to show what you personally built, how it affected pipeline, and what you learnt when an experiment didn’t work
  • Moving between strategy and execution: shaping an annual plan, and also improving a landing page, rewriting weak copy or building the first version of a campaign yourself
  • Understanding enterprise buying and discussing pipeline, conversion, sales cycles, attribution and budget confidently with senior leaders, making choices when the data is incomplete
  • A strong editorial eye: knowing the difference between polished language and clear thinking, and rejecting work that’s generic, inaccurate or below the standard enterprise customers expect
  • Using AI to materially improve your work, with the judgement to recognise weak output and not confuse more volume with better marketing
  • Running disciplined experiments

Useful but not essential, having built or substantially improved several of:
  • Enterprise demand generation and account-based marketing
  • Category positioning, product marketing and company narrative
  • Content, PR and executive thought leadership
  • Customer advocacy and case study programmes
  • Executive events and partner marketing
  • Teams and systems through a period of rapid company growth
We know great candidates don't always tick every box. If the scope excites you and you think your experience could translate, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll get

  • Direct influence over PAIR’s category, growth strategy and leadership team, working closely with the founders and Commercial Director. The systems and team you build will shape how PAIR grows internationally.
  • Equity: Everyone at PAIR is offered equity, because we want everyone to share in what we build together.
  • Performance bonus: up to 20%, based on MQLs and ARR
  • Holiday: 25 days, plus bank holidays
  • Learning: access to the best AI tools and PAIR's own masterclasses
  • A path to grow your career: we're an early stage company that promotes from within. As we continue to scale, the opportunities to grow with us will only increase
  • Regular social events: to celebrate the wins, unwind and and enjoy the journey together!
The fine print
  • This role is hybrid, with 3 days per week in our central London office
  • We also come together for 7 company-wide Anchor Weeks each year (in person, Monday to Thursday).
Inclusion and adjustments
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Every candidate for this role is assessed against the same published criteria, by interviewers using the same core questions. If you need any reasonable adjustments at any stage - a different format, more time, or flexible scheduling - just let us know.
