Intellihub is committed to simplifying the energy transition – as a leader in smart metering across ANZ and innovator of solar, battery, EV, virtual power plant and home electrification solutions.
With strong leadership supporting you, a career at Intellihub is defined by flexibility, growth and a deeply fulfilling experience. We're changing energy – bring yours.
We’re looking for a highly connected, commercially driven business development leader to establish and grow Intellihub’s Energy Networks customer segment. This is a hands-on market-building role for someone with an established network of senior energy-sector contacts, the credibility to open doors and the drive to turn relationships into qualified opportunities, strategic partnerships and contracted revenue. You will lead the full business development cycle, from identifying priority customers and creating demand through to negotiation, onboarding and early account growth, while helping shape the sales, account management and customer success capability needed as the segment scales. This role will suit an energetic, self-directed operator who knows the Australian energy market, is comfortable creating opportunities where no established pathway exists and wants to build a new growth platform from the ground up.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Build and execute the sales plan for the Energy Networks segment.
- Use established industry relationships to open doors with priority network customers.
- Create demand and develop a qualified pipeline of new opportunities.
- Own the full business development cycle from prospecting through to contract execution.
- Build senior customer relationships and lead complex commercial negotiations.
- Deliver agreed pipeline, revenue and customer acquisition targets.
- Lead new customers through onboarding and early account growth.
- Work across Product, Operations and Technology to ensure customer commitments are deliverable.
- Establish the future sales, account management and customer success capability as the segment grows.
- Significant enterprise sales, business development or commercial partnerships experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
- Strong credibility and an established network of senior contacts across the Australian energy sector, ideally within DNSPs or energy networks.
- Proven ability to open doors, build new pipeline and convert complex, long-cycle opportunities into contracted revenue.
- Experience engaging executive, commercial, operational and technical stakeholders and leading complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong commercial judgement, influencing capability and a practical, hands-on approach to building a new market or customer segment.
- Ability to operate initially as a senior individual contributor and help establish the sales and account management capability as the segment grows.
- A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, marketing, engineering or a related discipline is preferred. An MBA or postgraduate qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
We offer a dynamic and inclusive workplace that values collaboration and diversity. With a flexible hybrid working mode, we prioritise work-life balance while fostering personal and professional growth. Our innovative culture provides opportunities for career development, access to industry-leading tools, and a strong commitment to employee well-being, all supported by a competitive salary and benefits package.
