Do you want to contribute to projects shaping the future of energy in the Baltics and beyond? Ignitis Group shared service center is a part of the Ignitis Group – a renewables-focused integrated utility. Our purpose is to create a 100% green and secure energy ecosystem for current and future generations.

The Centre boasts a diverse range of competencies that not only ensure the smooth operation of daily activities across the Group but also support the energy transition in the Baltic Sea region. We are involved with all the Group’s products, from solar parks to electric vehicle charging stations. Given the scope and variety of projects, our team includes specialists in multiple disciplines, such as law, IT, HR, communications, procurement, and more. Every colleague, regardless of their area of expertise, contributes to the development of energy independence in Lithuania and beyond, extending to neighboring countries.

We are currently looking for a Head of Networks to join Ignitis Group. In this role, you will lead our network engineering teams and drive the modernization, security and automation of our large-scale, business-critical network infrastructure. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

Take YOUR part in #EnergySmart!

You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by:

  • Leading ~30 network engineers across Lithuania through team leads, and building a culture of ownership, operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Owning the reliability, performance and security of Ignitis Group’s corporate data networks, which connect data centres, offices, power plants and substations nationwide, spanning LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, radio links, firewalls and cloud connectivity
  • Owning and delivering the network roadmap: simplifying and standardising the estate and retiring legacy technology
  • Ensuring the network is secure by design and compliant with cybersecurity and regulatory requirements, with effective segmentation, tightly controlled access, well-governed firewall policy and fast incident recovery
  • Driving automation and network-as-code practices to reduce manual work, improve change quality and speed up delivery
  • Managing vendors, contracts and the team’s budget with a strong focus on cost efficiency
  • 8+ years in enterprise networking, including 2+ years leading a network engineering team, and ready to step up to leading through team leads
  • Deep expertise in enterprise and WAN networking: routing and switching, firewalls, Wi-Fi and data centre networks across a geographically distributed, multi-site estate
  • Experience running business-critical networks with high availability requirements, including incident, problem and change management
  • Strong network security background: segmentation, access control and firewall policy management in a regulated environment
  • Hands-on experience with cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
  • Experience modernising networks through standardisation, automation and network-as-code (e.g. Ansible, Python, Terraform)
  • Experience working with vendors; budget ownership is a plus
  • Fluent Lithuanian and English
  • A package of additional benefits to choose from: pension accumulation, health insurance, or another benefit from the selectable benefits list in the MELP application
  • Additional paid days for health improvement, short-term illness, volunteering, and accumulated work experience
  • A hybrid work model (3+2) and flexible working hours
  • Internal career opportunities
  • Extensive learning and qualification enhancement programs
  • Mentorship-based culture designed to facilitate meaningful and value-driven work
  • Take part in an unfolding energy transformation process to create a 100% green and secure energy ecosystem for both current and future generations

Join a growing and increasingly international team of energy smart people united by a common purpose. We all play our part in creating a 100 % secure and green energy ecosystem for current and future generations.

And the way to achieve this is certainly not to wait for the perfect moment. We believe that the power to act comes from the charge we bring to our work every day. United by purpose. Owning the challenge. Passion for reinvention. Pursuing excellence. These are our mindsets. Together, they yield the energy that drives everything we do. The energy generated by our choices. If you are guided by the same mindsets – we look forward to welcoming you to our team!

As we pursue our strategic goals to increase gender balance in Ignitis Group, we are indicating “f/m/d” next to job titles, meaning we welcome candidates of all genders – female, male or diverse.
