Strategic Partnerships Lead / Head of Partnerships

London (Hybrid) | Permanent

The Opportunity

We're working exclusively with an established, fast-growing US healthcare technology business as it launches into the UK market.

With a proven track record in the US and an ambitious founder leading its international expansion, the business is entering an exciting new chapter. Its mission is to make access to appropriate, patient-centred healthcare simpler, more accessible and more supportive.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning of its UK journey and play a defining role in building the business from the ground up.

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially driven partnerships leader who can identify new growth opportunities, build strategic relationships and establish scalable customer acquisition channels.

You'll work directly with the founder, with genuine autonomy to shape the UK partnerships strategy and influence the direction of the business as it grows.

The Opportunity to Make an Impact

  • Build from day one: Develop the UK strategic partnerships function from scratch, defining the approach, priorities and go-to-market strategy.
  • Own commercial growth: Identify and develop partnerships that create meaningful customer acquisition opportunities and measurable business impact.
  • Work directly with the founder: Play a key role in shaping the UK launch, with direct access to senior decision-makers.
  • Explore new channels: Build relationships across consumer-facing businesses, health and wellbeing networks, digital platforms, membership organisations and other relevant distribution partners.
  • Combine strategy with execution: Take ownership of the bigger picture while personally originating, negotiating and activating partnerships.
  • Shape the future: Join as one of the first UK hires, with the opportunity for your responsibilities to evolve as the business scales.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships & Growth

  • Develop and execute a UK partnerships strategy aligned with the company's commercial growth objectives.
  • Identify, prioritise and secure partnerships that create scalable routes to relevant patient audiences.
  • Explore opportunities across physical-location networks, consumer health platforms, membership organisations and other appropriate commercial channels.
  • Build compelling partnership propositions and negotiate commercially attractive agreements.
  • Establish relationships with senior decision-makers and develop a strong pipeline of potential partners.

Commercial Execution

  • Take a hands-on approach to sourcing, pitching, negotiating and launching new partnerships.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to bring partnerships to market effectively.
  • Develop pilot programmes, test new acquisition channels and identify opportunities to scale successful relationships.
  • Monitor partnership performance, customer acquisition and commercial return.
  • Use data and market insights to continually refine the partnership strategy.

UK Market Development

  • Work closely with the founder to help establish the company's UK commercial presence.
  • Contribute to wider go-to-market planning, identifying new audiences, commercial opportunities and routes to growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operational and clinical stakeholders to ensure partnerships support a trusted, compliant healthcare service.
  • Help establish the processes, reporting and commercial foundations needed to support long-term expansion.

Your Profile

We're open-minded about industry background and exact job title. What's most important is your ability to build commercially successful partnerships and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

You'll ideally bring:

  • A strong track record in strategic partnerships, business development, commercial growth or channel development.
  • Proven experience personally originating, negotiating and closing meaningful commercial partnerships.
  • Experience building new partnership channels, launching propositions or entering new markets.
  • A clear understanding of how partnerships contribute to customer acquisition, revenue and sustainable growth.
  • The commercial judgement to identify opportunities, assess their potential and turn ideas into measurable results.
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and working directly with founders or executive leadership.
  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and genuine enthusiasm for building something from an early stage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Experience across consumer technology, marketplaces, digital platforms, health and wellbeing, membership businesses or other partnership-led growth environments would be particularly interesting.

Previous healthcare experience isn't essential. We're equally interested in commercially strong candidates from other sectors who can bring fresh thinking and transferable expertise.

What's On Offer

  • Competitive Salary, depending on experience,
  • Performance-related bonus
  • An opportunity to join an established US business at the very beginning of its UK expansion.
  • Direct access to the founder and the autonomy to shape a commercial function from scratch.
  • A genuinely meaningful, patient-focused mission.
  • Significant ownership, visibility and the potential for broader responsibilities as the UK operation grows.
  • Hybrid working from a central London office near Tower Bridge.
