Are you an HR leader looking for a role where you can shape how an organisation hires, rewards and develops its people?

We're recruiting a Head of People for an established organisation in the middle of significant change. The people agenda sits at the heart of it, and the senior leadership team want a leader who will own it. You'll report to a senior executive and present to the senior leadership team regularly, with real influence over the direction of the business.

You'll lead the HR function, including HR Business Partners, recruitment and training. The brief is clear from day one. There are four priorities:

  • Bring the organisation's values and behaviours to life, from the first interview through to the performance review.
  • Build a fair way to reward and recognise people for their contribution.
  • Lead the move to a new HR system.
  • Rethink how the workforce is resourced and employed, so great people choose to stay.

Nothing is off the table. If you can see a better way to structure the team or run the function, you'll have the freedom to make the case and the backing to deliver it.

What you'll need:

  • At least 5 years in a senior HR role, including managing a multi-disciplinary HR team. We'll consider HR leaders ready to step up to Head level.
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law, including the Employment Rights Act reforms.
  • Experience of building HR policy across a complex business.
  • A commercial mindset, with respect for the culture you join.
  • The ability to influence peers and win buy-in from other Heads of department.
  • CIPD qualified.

Desirable:

  • Experience building coaching, mentoring or management development programmes.
  • Experience selecting and rolling out a new HR system.
  • Experience designing reward and recognition schemes.

If you want to lead a people function through a period of real change, please apply with your current CV and contact details.

We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you need any adjustments or support during the recruitment process, please let us know.
