About FIND Services
FIND is an HR technology platform helping African professionals become more discoverable, better prepared and better connected to global opportunities.
Our product is designed to support candidates and job seekers through skill assessments, career guidance, upskilling, internships and practical opportunities, focusing on workforce development, while helping employers ethically discover, assess and hire qualified African talent.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and optimize scalable Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS), internal databases, and automated workflows across all locations.
Draft, review, and roll out universal company policies, employee handbooks, and employment contracts.
Ensure complete compliance with local, state, federal, and international labor regulations (e.g., GDPR, EEOC, or specific country labor acts).
Design and evaluate competitive, equitable salary benchmarking scales and comprehensive health/wellness benefits packages.
Build and refine regular performance evaluation cycles and goal-tracking systems (like OKRs).
Assess cross-department training needs and coordinate professional development and manager-coaching initiatives.
Act as a neutral advocate for employee concerns, mediating workplace conflicts and managing complex employee relations casework.
Track, analyze, and present key people metrics (e.g., retention rates, cost-per-hire, eNPS, and diversity data) to the executive team.
Partner with the executive leadership and finance teams to manage and allocate departmental budgets and head-count forecasting.
Design and oversee employee engagement projects, workplace culture programs, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) strategies.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a strategic, empathetic, and data-driven Head of People Operations to build, scale, and lead our People function.
The ideal candidate should have:
Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2+ years leading People Operations specifically within an early-stage startup or a high-growth, remote-first company.
Proven ability to establish HR infrastructure from zero—implementing HRIS platforms, setting up multi-state/international payroll, drafting compliant handbooks, and managing benefits programs.
Direct experience designing recruitment pipelines, defining Employer Value Propositions (EVP), and managing external recruiters or internal talent acquisition teams.
Experience creating compensation bands, career leveling frameworks, and equity allocation plans tailored to early-stage runway constraints.
Track record of implementing lightweight review frameworks, career progression paths, manager coaching programs, and employee engagement strategies.
Ability to align people strategy with business KPIs, runway, and financial modeling alongside executive leadership and finance.
Solid working knowledge of labor laws, contractor vs. employee classifications, and remote/distributed team compliance.
Skill in translating core startup values into daily operational habits, onboarding experiences, and retention programs.
Deep familiarity with global Employer of Record (EOR) platforms (e.g., Deel, Remote) and modern HRIS/ATS tools.
Proven track record of building HR processes from scratch; comfortable wearing multiple hats and transitioning easily between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
Exceptional written and asynchronous communication skills, with a knack for documenting processes clearly.
Unquestionable discretion and judgment when handling sensitive founder-level strategy and distributed employee data.
What You’ll Gain
Async, fully remote with flexible working hours.
Direct exposure to senior leaders and C-suite professionals.
Opportunities to work with people from different countries and industries.
The opportunity to strengthen your professional profile and portfolio.
Potential future retention (equity-based until funded).
