Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
AIAEC is hiring a Head of Product to lead the strategy, development, commercialization and growth of our SaaS portfolio: current and future products.
We want more than a roadmap manager. We’re looking for a product leader who has taken technology products from idea and discovery through launch, adoption and commercial scale. You’ll lead our Product Owners and UI/UX team, partner closely with Engineering, QA, Support, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing and executive leadership, and make sure AIAEC focuses on the opportunities that matter most to customers and the business.
This role calls for strong product judgment. You’ll guide prioritization, weigh competing opportunities, and direct product and engineering capacity toward the initiatives with the greatest potential for customer adoption, usability and market impact.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
You’ll translate company strategy and market opportunities into clear product strategies, roadmaps and measurable outcomes. Working within AIAEC’s established operating model and product development framework, you’ll drive disciplined execution across the full product lifecycle and help evolve product management practices, standards and tools as we scale.
Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
• Set the vision, strategy and roadmap for each product based on company goals, market opportunities and customer needs.
• Prioritize across the portfolio when multiple products compete for product and engineering capacity.
• Evaluate new products, features, integrations and markets, and make sure major investments are backed by customer, market and business evidence.
• Assess product and feature readiness before major releases, and partner with the COO and executive team on product direction.
Discovery & Validation
• Lead discovery through customer interviews, market and competitive research, workflow analysis and usage data.
• Define problems clearly and assess opportunities before committing significant development resources.
• Gather and synthesize feedback from Customer Success, Sales, Support, pilots and production customers.
• Validate problems and ideas through prototypes, usability tests and experiments, and track product-market fit.
Product Development
• Lead execution across the full lifecycle: Idea ? Discovery ? Validation ? Prioritization ? Roadmap ? Backlog ? Development ? Release ? Adoption ? Feedback ? Improvement.
• Turn validated needs into clear requirements, and keep each piece of work traceable to the customer problem it solves.
• Work with Engineering on sequencing, feasibility and delivery. Product owns the what and why; Engineering owns the how.
• Make sure releases meet acceptance, usability and readiness standards, and that post-launch learnings shape future priorities.
Commercialization & Adoption
• Partner with Sales, Marketing and Customer Success on personas, ICP, positioning and differentiation.
• Support pricing and packaging discussions, and lead launch and go-to-market readiness planning.
• Help translate product capabilities into clear customer value for Sales and Marketing.
• Track adoption after launch, remove friction, and keep all teams aligned on product capabilities and roadmap direction.
Product Experience & Accessibility
• Improve usability, workflows, consistency, engagement and satisfaction across web and mobile products.
• Work with UI/UX, Engineering, Security and Compliance to bring accessibility requirements into product planning.
• Build accessibility into design and development from the start, including WCAG, ADA digital accessibility, accessibility testing and VPAT requirements for public-sector and enterprise customers.
Product Organization Leadership
• Lead, coach and develop the Product Owners and UI/UX professionals who report to you, with clear goals and accountability.
• Run consistent product practices, governance, prioritization and decision-making within AIAEC’s operating model.
• Improve collaboration between Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing and leadership.
• Build a high-performing Product organization that understands the commercial side of the business.
Product Metrics
• Define and track the metrics that drive decisions: activation, engagement, feature adoption, retention, satisfaction, usability, quality, accessibility, release effectiveness, and time from validated opportunity to delivery.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and works a hybrid schedule: 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remote. Regular in-person collaboration with executive leadership, Product, Engineering and cross-functional teams is an important part of the job.
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 8–10+ years of product management experience in technology or SaaS organizations, including 3–5+ years leading product teams.
• A track record of taking a SaaS product from concept, early stage or major transformation through launch to commercial scale, with measurable adoption and business results.
• Experience owning products across the full lifecycle and managing multiple products or product lines at once.
• Strong skills in product strategy, multi-quarter road mapping, discovery and customer research.
• Experience managing Product Owners or Product Managers, and leading or working closely with UI/UX teams.
• Hands-on Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban, backlog management, sprint planning and reviews, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization frameworks) and proficiency with Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence or similar tools.
• Technical fluency to discuss APIs, integrations, cloud systems, data platforms, AI capabilities and architectural constraints (no engineering background required).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executives, engineers, customers and commercial teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience at an early-stage or growth-stage SaaS company, including scaling products across markets or customer segments.
• Background in AI, data, workflow automation or enterprise software, and experience with enterprise or public-sector customers.
• Familiarity with WCAG, ADA, VPATs and accessibility testing, and experience putting structured discovery frameworks in place.
• CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM or a comparable product management certification.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We want a leader who can connect strategy, customer needs, technology, execution and commercialization, and who moves easily between customer conversations, design reviews, technical discussions and launch planning. In your interviews, be ready to walk us through a product you personally helped take from idea to market:
• How you identified and validated the problem
• How you prioritized investments and worked with Engineering to deliver
• How you launched it and how customers responded
• How usage and feedback shaped the roadmap as the product scaled
• What measurable customer and commercial results it achieved
