Head of Product
Location: Remote (US)
About the Role
Turno is growing from a turnover tool into a multi-product platform for hosts, property managers and the service providers who keep their rentals running. As Head of Product, you'll decide what that platform should look like and lead the team that builds it. You'll make the calls on what we build and connect each one to a business metric. It's a hands-on role: you'll write specs, review work and talk to hosts and service providers yourself.
What You'll Do
Set product direction
Own the product vision. Define what Turno's platform should look like over the next 12–24 months for hosts, property managers and service providers, and get the leadership team behind it.
Bring ideas. Spot what we're missing and tell us what we need before we ask.
Decide what not to build. Turn the vision into one prioritized roadmap, and decide what we stop or don't start.
Own business outcomes
Be measured on results. Own the product metrics that drive Turno's business, like retention, marketplace growth and revenue, and set the KPIs that connect product work to them.
Explain tradeoffs. Walk anyone at Turno through the tradeoff between a long-term product investment and this quarter's number.
Balance the marketplace. Make tradeoffs that keep both sides healthy. A win for hosts that hurts service provider retention (or the reverse) is not a win.
Grow with partners. Shape how we build with platform partners and integrations, and how hosts and service providers come onto Turno.
Lead and grow the product team
Lead the product team. Lead product management and design. You set the direction and the standard; PMs own their product areas within it.
Coach and give feedback. Set goals for each PM, review their work, run product critiques, and set clear expectations and growth paths.
Hire well. Attract strong product talent and shape how the team grows.
Work across the company
Partner on launches and growth. Work with Marketing and Customer Experience on launches, adoption and how we explain new features to customers.
Partner closely with Engineering. Work through architecture and technical tradeoffs with engineers, and explain them to the leadership team in plain terms.
Set the operating rhythm. Set up planning and review cadences, and make sure everyone knows why the roadmap is what it is.
Stay hands-on
Write, prototype and join customer calls. Use AI in your own work, and lead how we build AI into the product, including agents that handle operational work for hosts and service providers.
What You'll Bring
You make the call. You form a view of where the product should go, then use data and research to test it. When the evidence says you're wrong, you change course.
You start from the customer. Your strategy comes from time spent with customers on both sides of a marketplace.
You're commercial. You think in business outcomes and are comfortable being measured by them. You've owned a business metric such as revenue or retention.
You've led product in marketplaces or B2B SaaS. You have 10+ years in product, including 3+ years leading PM teams.
You grow people. You’ve developed PMs into stronger leaders and built talent-dense teams.
You're hands-on and technical. You still write, prototype and dig into data, and you have the technical depth to earn engineers' trust. You use AI to get more done with a lean team.
You explain things simply. You can walk engineers or the founders through a complex tradeoff in a few minutes.
