As Head of Product at Journi, you sit right at the intersection of strategy and execution. You partner closely with our CPO, Bianca, to translate the product vision into a clear execution strategy, translating company goals into a clear, coherent product direction that the whole team can rally behind.
You’ll lead and coach our product managers, working across squads to act as the supportive link connecting multiple departments. While our CPO maps out our long-term vision and direction, you’ll focus on the journey to get there: bringing clear processes, alignment, and a structured approach to everything the product team touches.

What you'll do
Turn Strategy into Execution:
Partner closely with the CPO and Staff PM to translate company goals and product bets into clear priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans.
Lead & Develop the PM Team:
Coach, support, and challenge Product Managers through clear expectations, regular feedback, performance management, and career development.
Raise the Bar on Product Craft:
Strengthen how we do discovery, problem framing, prioritisation, experimentation, validation, and outcome measurement across the PM team.
Drive Planning & Prioritisation:
Lead quarterly planning cycles, challenge assumptions, and help teams focus on the highest-impact opportunities.
Champion Impact over Output:
Ensure teams define meaningful success metrics, challenge weak OKRs, and continuously learn from results to improve future decisions.
Enable Cross-Functional Excellence:
Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Customer Insights, Marketing, Finance, and Support to keep strategy, execution, and business goals aligned.
Improve How Product Works:
Continuously refine product processes, collaboration models, and operating rhythms while removing systemic blockers and friction.
Build a High-Performing Product Organisation:
Create visibility into PM impact, strengthen accountability, and help the team grow into increasingly effective product leaders.

Your bag of tricks
2+ years of experience leading Product Managers
through coaching, performance management, and career development.
6+ years working in Product Management
, with experience owning strategy, roadmaps, and product outcomes.
Experience leading product work across
multiple teams or domains
, balancing strategic goals with execution realities.
Strong product judgment: you know how to challenge assumptions, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and make thoughtful trade-offs.
A proven track record of helping teams focus on
outcomes over outputs
, using data, research, and experimentation to guide decisions.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across Product, Engineering, Design, and leadership.
Experience working on
consumer-facing digital products
, ideally in a mobile-first environment.
You are based in Vienna or open to relocating.
🔥 Nice-to-haves
Experience in a fast-growing startup or scale-up environment.
Experience leading or mentoring senior PMs, Principal PMs, or Product Leads.
Experience in subscription, retention, growth, or marketplace-style B2C products.
Conversational German or French.
