Role Description

The Head of Mentoring is a part-time, hybrid volunteer role based in Switzerland, with flexibility for some work from home. This position oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of FLS’s mentoring programs, including matching mentors, sponsors and mentees, refining processes, and monitoring outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating mentoring cohorts, facilitating onboarding sessions, supporting mentors and mentees throughout their journeys, and gathering feedback to enhance program impact. The Head of Mentoring collaborates closely with the broader FLS team to align mentoring initiatives with the pillars of education, community, and well-being, and may represent FLS at events, workshops, and partner meetings. The role also involves maintaining program documentation, tracking key metrics, and communicating insights to leadership to ensure sustainable growth of the mentoring community.


Qualifications

  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, or talent development, with the ability to design and manage structured mentoring programs.
  • Background in leadership development, education, or community-building, ideally within academic, nonprofit, or professional networks.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders and generations.
  • Organizational and project management skills, including planning cohorts, tracking participation, and monitoring program outcomes.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid anf multicultural environment in Switzerland, with proficiency in digital collaboration tools and virtual event platforms.
  • Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory practices, aligned with FLS’s mission and values.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of German or French in Switzerland is an advantage.
  • Relevant academic background (e.g., business, education, psychology, social sciences) or equivalent professional experience.
