About Olala!
Olala! is an international hospitality and real estate group, developing, owning, and operating hotels, vacation rentals, and food & beverage concepts worldwide.
Since 1996, we have built a presence in 17 cities worldwide, combining global expertise with local insight. Our mission is to deliver smart, technology-driven, and design-forward accommodations that meet the needs of today’s traveler while upholding the highest standards of service.
Your role
We are looking for a Head of Revenue Management to join our headquarters in Barcelona and lead the Revenue function across Olala’s Hotels and Vacation Rentals. Reporting directly to the COO, you will lead the Hotels, Apartments and International Revenue Managers.
You will own the accommodation revenue plan, forecasting and commercial contribution, while ensuring that pricing and published listings are accurate across every sales channel. You will combine team leadership with direct responsibility for an agreed hotel cluster and lead the transition from external agencies to a coordinated internal team.
You will work closely with Marketing, Hotel Managers, Property Operations, Finance and the systems team to turn market demand into profitable business and ensure that what we sell matches what guests receive.
Your Journey
Define and execute the revenue strategy for hotels and apartments across all markets. Translate approved budgets into property, segment and channel plans, adapted to each accommodation model.
Lead, coach and develop the Revenue Managers. Set objectives, allocate one owner and backup to each property, review performance and build consistent commercial controls across the team.
Directly manage an agreed hotel cluster, reviewing pickup, demand, cancellations, lead times and market positioning. Balance occupancy, average daily rate and length of stay to improve net revenue and contribution.
Own rate architecture, pricing guardrails, restrictions, promotion stacking, channel mix and distribution costs. Maintain an accurate rolling forecast and explain deviations from budget with corrective actions.
Be accountable for pricing and live listing accuracy across OTAs, direct booking and contracted channels. Verify room or unit mapping, occupancy, availability, total mandatory charges, currency, taxes and cancellation/payment conditions.
Establish a verified source of property facts with Operations and approved copy and images with Marketing. Ensure descriptions, capacity, sleeping arrangements, meal plans, facilities and check-in information match the accommodation sold.
Set a publication gate for launches and material changes, including an independent second check and live booking tests. Review critical exceptions daily and rotate listing audits to cover the full active portfolio every month.
Chair the weekly trading meeting and align Sales with approved pricing and inventory limits. Require group displacement, contribution and contract-term analysis before committing inventory to groups or tour operators.
Own commercial performance reviews covering net accommodation revenue and contribution against budget, forecast accuracy, channel costs, pricing/listing accuracy, preventable booking failures and timely reporting and action closure.
Work with Finance to reconcile revenue, commissions and refunds and demonstrate commercial contribution to GOP and EBITDA. Hotel Managers and Finance retain responsibility for the full hotel P&L.
Lead the agency handover, securing Olala-controlled access, contracts, historical data, mappings and commercial settings. Accept each transfer wave with live checks and trained backup coverage before COO-approved agency exit.
Define commercial system requirements and acceptance checks with the systems team. Coordinate configuration and integration improvements while retaining Revenue ownership of the commercial outcome.
Resolve routine decisions within approved commercial guardrails and escalate material exceptions to the COO and reserved strategic commitments to the CEO. Contain critical pricing or listing errors promptly and coordinate recovery with the relevant teams.
During the first 90 days, establish property ownership and baselines, implement common forecasting and audit routines, complete agreed handover waves and present a reconciled performance review with corrective actions.
What do you bring to your trip
Typically 6 or more years in revenue management, with demonstrated responsibility for multiple properties and at least 2 years leading a team or commercial function; equivalent evidence of capability is welcome.
Strong hotel revenue expertise and a practical understanding of apartment and vacation-rental economics, including length of stay, cleaning costs and distribution contribution.
Proven ability to lead and develop specialists while remaining hands-on with an allocated portfolio and making clear decisions under commercial pressure.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, forecasting, financial modelling and analysis of net revenue, channel costs and commercial contribution.
Hands-on knowledge of PMS, RMS, channel managers, OTA extranets and business intelligence tools, including auditing rate plans, inventory mappings, fees and live listings.
Experience with group displacement, tour-operator allotments, release periods, cancellation terms and pricing controls; strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
A disciplined approach to quality assurance, documentation and incident prevention, with the ability to distinguish a technical fix from acceptance of its commercial effect.
Experience with multi-country portfolios, agency transitions or RMS implementations is a plus. Hospitality, economics, finance or analytical education is useful; equivalent experience is accepted.
Professional English and clear communication with Sales, Operations, Finance and senior leadership. Spanish and other portfolio-market languages are valuable.
Availability to work from our Barcelona office.
