Head of Sales

As part of the Industrial X-Ray Systems (IXS) division, our Comet Yxlon brand delivers advanced industrial X-ray and CT solutions for reliable non-destructive testing, analysis and quality assurance in semiconductor, electronics, automotive and other high-tech industries.

What You Will Do

• Lead the IXS business in Japan with full P&L responsibility, driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance.
• Develop business and account strategies, identify new opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.
• Lead and develop the local team, ensuring effective operations and strong sales, delivery, and quality performance.
• Act as the bridge between the Japanese organization and global headquarters, aligning priorities, monitoring KPIs, implementing global processes, and ensuring local compliance.
• Translate customer needs and market insights into input for product development and go-to-market plans, and represent Comet at industry events and with local stakeholders.
  
  

What You Bring

• A degree in Engineering or Business, or a technical background, with 7–10 years of experience in capital equipment sales.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT), ideally industrial X-ray technology; experience in semiconductor or SMT markets is a plus.
• General management experience in an international organization, with proven success collaborating across functions and cultures in a global matrix environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop employees and recruit talent to meet future business needs.
• Japanese language proficiency, excellent communication and influencing skills.
