As part of the AI Hub within the Data Insights & AI Department (DIA), you will lead Hapag-Lloyd's Self-Service AI strategy & team. You will turn recurring employee needs and developments in the AI market into a practical offering of tools and capabilities that colleagues can use independently.
You will line-manage the Citizen AI Product Manager and marina AI Product Manager, setting the self-service AI strategy, fast-tracking promising tools and guiding employee enablement as well as the AI Marketplace.
- Set and evolve the self-service AI strategy, anticipating future needs and opportunities based on user feedback, usage patterns and market developments. Define the available toolkit, including default generative AI tools, large language models as a service (LLMaaS) and agentic AI.
- Lead, coach and develop the Self-Service AI team: set clear objectives, provide regular feedback and build the capabilities needed to deliver the strategy.
- Track developments in AI products and fast-track promising tools/functionality through practical pilots to assess their value and quantify the opportunity.
- Own the self-service AI agenda towards the leadership: prepare and present recommendations, align expectations and drive agreed actions to completion.
- Set adoption and business impact targets with relevant stakeholders; review value and spend, quantify benefits, report progress and take corrective action where results fall short.
- Together with Hapag-Lloyd Academy, plan and coordinate employee enablement, helping colleagues use self-service AI tools effectively and independently.
- Promote self-service AI across the organisation, including through regional connects and the AI Marketplace; communicate an ambitious, credible direction supported by practical examples, delivery milestones and measurable outcomes.
- 3+ years of experience successfully leading a product, digital enablement or AI team, including coaching and development.
- A record of developing enterprise technology offerings and increasing their adoption.
- Practical understanding of generative AI, assistants and low-code tools, including responsible use.
- Ability to balance user needs, value, delivery capacity, cost and enterprise requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams in a very international environment.
- Experience designing enablement programmes and measuring adoption and benefits.
- Fluency in English; shipping or logistics experience is an advantage.
