Role Description


The Head of Talent Management is a part-time volunteer, remote role responsible for designing and leading FLS’s talent strategy across the community and internal team. This position oversees succession planning for key roles, including mentors and program leaders, to ensure continuity and growth. The role includes designing and implementing training and development initiatives for members, mentors, and volunteers, aligned with FLS’s education and well-being pillars. The Head of Talent Management manages employer branding activities to attract high-potential members, partners, and contributors, and develops employee and volunteer engagement practices that support inclusion and long-term commitment. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with FLS leadership, analyzing talent needs, refining talent processes, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.


Qualifications


  • Candidates should possess strong Talent Management, Executive Search experience, including the design and implementation of talent strategies and frameworks.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Succession Planning to identify, develop, and retain future leaders for key roles within the organization.
  • Candidates should possess Training & Development skills to create and deliver learning programs, workshops, and coaching initiatives.
  • Candidates should possess Employer Branding and Employee Engagement skills to strengthen FLS’s reputation and foster a committed, motivated community.
  • Relevant experience in HR, organizational development, leadership development, or community-building, preferably in mission-driven or education-focused organizations.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, multicultural environment.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, able to use data and feedback to improve talent processes and member experience.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field is beneficial; experience in leadership or mentorship programs is a plus.
