Job Description Company: KeyMik Location: Remote — Pakistan Employment Type: Full-Time Work Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), Monday–Friday Salary: $2,000–$3,400 USD per month, based on experience and technical leadership capability About the Role KeyMik is seeking a hands-on, strategic, and highly accountable Head of Technology to lead the technical direction, engineering operations, infrastructure, and continued development of our growing creator marketplace platform. This is a startup leadership role for someone who can operate with a high level of ownership and limited supervision. You will be responsible for translating business goals into scalable technical solutions, leading the engineering team, improving system reliability, managing technical priorities, and ensuring KeyMik's technology can support continued growth. The ideal candidate is not simply a people manager. You should be comfortable reviewing code, making architecture decisions, troubleshooting complex technical problems, managing developers, and taking ownership of the technology function from strategy through execution. Key Responsibilities Own and lead KeyMik's overall technology strategy, architecture, infrastructure, and engineering roadmap. Lead, manage, mentor, and hold engineering and technical team members accountable for performance and delivery. Translate business and product requirements into scalable, secure, and technically sound solutions. Make key decisions regarding architecture, technology stack, development practices, integrations, and infrastructure. Oversee the development, maintenance, optimization, and scalability of the KeyMik platform. Review technical designs, pull requests, system architecture, and engineering decisions. Establish and maintain engineering standards, development workflows, documentation, testing processes, and deployment practices. Work closely with the Founder, product, operations, marketing, and other teams to prioritize technical initiatives. Manage technical roadmaps, sprint priorities, project timelines, and engineering deliverables. Identify technical risks, system bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability challenges before they become business problems. Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, system performance, data security, and platform reliability. Ensure proper development, testing, staging, and production environments are maintained. Lead incident response, technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and system recovery when issues arise. Manage and optimize third-party integrations, APIs, payment systems, communication tools, analytics platforms, and other technology services. Additional Responsibilities as assigned Requirements 7+ years of experience in software engineering, technology leadership, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams or owning a significant technology function. Experience working in a startup, scale-up, product company, or fast-paced technology environment. Strong experience with full-stack software development and modern web application architecture. Experience with cloud infrastructure, APIs, databases, authentication, payments, and third-party integrations. Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, security, testing, deployment, and system reliability. Experience leading remote or distributed engineering teams. Strong technical judgment and the ability to make independent decisions. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work directly with a Founder and take ownership of technical strategy and execution. Experience using AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows is highly preferred.
