Employment: Full-time

Compensation: $210,000 – $275,000 USD per year (base), depending on experience

About the role

We’re hiring a Head of Tokenomics to own the design, modeling, and ongoing governance of our token economy. You’ll turn product and growth goals into sustainable incentive systems—balancing supply, demand, emissions, utility, and risk so the token supports real usage rather than short-term speculation.

Responsibilities

• Own the tokenomics roadmap: emissions, vesting, utility, sinks/sources, and governance parameters
• Build and maintain economic models (supply schedules, incentive budgets, liquidity, treasury runway)
• Partner with Product, Protocol, and Growth to align incentives with user and ecosystem behavior
• Design and stress-test mechanisms against farming, wash activity, and misaligned rewards
• Prepare clear proposals and docs for leadership, community, or governance review
• Define KPIs (retention quality, incentive efficiency, treasury health, liquidity depth) and track outcomes post-launch
• Coordinate with Legal/Compliance on disclosures and jurisdiction-sensitive design choices
• Lead reviews after major parameter changes; recommend adjustments with data-backed rationale

Requirements

• 5+ years in crypto, fintech, economics, or quantitative product roles; 2+ years owning token or incentive design
• Strong grasp of token supply dynamics, vesting, liquidity incentives, and governance mechanics
• Ability to model scenarios in spreadsheets/Python (or similar) and explain tradeoffs clearly
• Experience shipping or materially revising a live token system, points program, or DeFi incentive framework
• Excellent written communication for specs, RFCs, and stakeholder updates
• Comfort working async with engineering, research, and go-to-market teams

Nice-to-haves

• Background in DeFi protocols, L2 ecosystems, or exchange/token launch programs
• Familiarity with on-chain analytics (Dune, similar) and governance tooling
• Prior work with auditors, market makers, or institutional partners on token launches
