Head of Trading Operations & Risk - Forex

They are currently seeking an accomplished Head of Trading Operations & Risk to oversee global trading operations, drive risk management frameworks, and align systems and processes with the firm’s long-term strategy. This is a senior-level role ideal for someone with deep knowledge of FX/CFD markets, a strong operational background, and leadership experience in regulated environments. Description In this role, you will lead the group’s trading operations and risk management function across all platforms and geographies. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, security, and regulatory compliance of trading systems and processes, while managing real-time risk across a multi-asset product range. You’ll collaborate closely with technology, dealing, compliance, and senior leadership to build scalable processes and mitigate operational risk as the company continues its international expansion. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day trading operations, ensuring system integrity, trade accuracy, and efficient workflows Develop and maintain real-time risk monitoring tools and escalation protocols across asset classes Lead the integration and alignment of MT4/MT5 platforms with internal systems and external partners Ensure regulatory reporting compliance across multiple jurisdictions (ESMA, offshore, emerging markets) Supervise cross-functional teams involved in risk, trading ops, and post-trade processes Liaise with liquidity providers, technology vendors, and brokers to ensure infrastructure reliability Support automation and enhancements to the firm’s risk management architecture Advise senior leadership on operational risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and process improvements Requirements Minimum 8–10 years of experience in FX/CFD trading operations and risk management Strong expertise in risk controls, trade lifecycle, and margin methodologies Working knowledge of MT4/MT5 platforms and their integration into trading environments Proven experience managing high-performing teams within regulated brokerages Ability to operate under pressure and make data-driven decisions in real time Excellent communication and leadership skills across departments and jurisdictions Nice to Have Experience with AI/automation-based risk systems Understanding of FIX protocol and trading platform connectivity Exposure to institutional or high-frequency trading models Cross-border regulatory knowledge (e.g., ESMA, FSC, offshore frameworks) Benefits Competitive salary of €60,000 – €95,000 per annum Remote-first role with international team collaboration Senior leadership position in a rapidly scaling brokerage Access to advanced trading and risk technologies A culture that values innovation, agility, and accountability This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of global trading and risk operations within a growing, tech-forward brokerage environment.
