FronteraCare

🇺🇸United States🏠Remote💰$175.0K–$200.0K📁Healthcare/Clinical
Is this job info correct?

FronteraCare delivers life-changing autism services to children and families across New Mexico and Colorado. We provide high quality diagnostic evaluations and ABA therapy, partnering closely with parents, grandparents, foster parents, and other caregivers to create individualized care plans rooted in each child's unique strengths, needs, and family context. Our clinicians are committed to evidence-based, compassionate care that helps children with autism thrive. We believe the best outcomes are when families are at the heart of the treatment. By combining clinical expertise with family insights, we help children build skills, gain confidence, and thrive. Our Mission Our mission is to expand access to exceptional diagnostic and behavioral healthcare for every child, no matter where they live or their circumstances. Frontera is reimagining how children with autism and other behavioral health needs get the care they deserve. We bring together world-class clinicians, technologists, and autism specialists to build cutting-edge AI tools that help care teams work smarter and spend more time with the children and families who need them most. Our platform is HIPAA-compliant and designed for the real-world needs of behavioral health teams — from psychologists to ABA therapists. By combining evidence-based care with powerful technology, we're expanding access to high-quality services for families everywhere. Our Mission Frontera exists to close the care gap: every child, no matter where they live, should be able to access effective behavioral healthcare. Why Join Us At Frontera, you'll join a team driven by impact. We're growing quickly, backed by leading investors, and united by a shared belief that innovation and equity can change lives. If you're excited to build the future of pediatric healthcare, we'd love to meet you. Role Overview As Lead Psychologist, Autism & Developmental Diagnostics, you'll be the clinical and operational anchor for Frontera's telehealth diagnostic team. You'll ensure every autism and developmental evaluation meets a consistently high bar for quality, while helping your team find smarter, more efficient ways to work, because time saved without sacrificing quality means another child gets answers sooner. You'll carry a small evaluation caseload of your own, and spend the rest of your time developing your team, strengthening clinical standards, and partnering closely with Operations, Intake, and Product to build a diagnostic program that's both excellent and built to scale. This is a role for someone who can hold two things in tension: the clinical rigor and individualized care every family deserves, and the efficiency Frontera needs to reach more of the families who need us. You'll set the standard for what “good” looks like on both fronts and you'll be comfortable making real tradeoffs, and helping your team make them too. What You'll Do Clinical Leadership & Quality Serve as the go-to resource for clinical questions, screener guidance, and evaluation standards across the diagnostics team Set and uphold consistent standards for clinical quality, complex case decision-making, report writing, and neuroaffirming language Review evaluations and consult on complex or atypical cases Define best practices for accessible, high-quality telehealth autism and developmental evaluation Carry a modest caseload of your own (about two evaluations per week) to stay grounded in the work Set clear, explicit guidance on where the line is between more time meaning more quality, and more time meaning a family waits longer for a diagnosis and help your team make that call with confidence Team Support & Development Lead onboarding, training, and calibration for new psychologists and speech-language pathologists Support your team's ongoing growth and skill development Run regular 1:1s and team meetings that keep people aligned, supported, and unstuck Own change management for new tools, processes, and programs across the team Set clear expectations and hold your team accountable to them — with warmth, and without avoiding the hard conversations when they're needed Operational Alignment Partner with Intake and Operations to build workflows, scheduling, and communication that actually work Spot the operational gaps that get in the way of quality or efficiency, and help fix them Turn good clinical ideas into concrete, sequenced plans, with real metrics and timelines, not just principles Product & Technology Partnership Partner closely with Engineering and Product on report tools, documentation templates, and workflows Bring specific, proactive ideas for where technology could save time without costing quality — you don't just flag problems, you help solve them Help identify, track, and prioritize product issues with clear clinical context Partner with Customer Success to close the loop between client experience and clinical practice Cross-Functional Leadership Represent the clinical point of view in conversations about scaling, tooling, and how we design our services Help hire, evaluate, and calibrate new psychologists and speech-language pathologists Advocate for standardized, scalable workflows where they help us serve more families, even when that means less case-by-case customization Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance efforts Travel Occasional travel to New Mexico and other markets for team training, calibration, and partnership-building Frequent visits to our Denver headquarters to stay connected with the clinical operations team Who You Are A doctoral-level psychologist with deep experience in autism and developmental evaluation Skilled in telehealth-based assessment, with strong clinical judgment, report writing, and ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) administration Experienced training, mentoring, and leading interdisciplinary clinical teams Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building consistency in a fast-growing environment Experienced managing the performance of licensed clinicians serving underserved communities A natural partner to technologists and product teams — you can talk concretely about where tools and workflows intersect with clinical quality, not just work around what exists Someone who makes good decisions under time pressure, not only when things are calm Comfortable standardizing and scaling processes, and willing to prioritize consistency when it's what's best for the most families An assertive, steady leader who can set a clear standard for a team and hold to it What Success Looks Like Clinicians have a reliable go-to person for day-to-day questions and support Evaluation quality is consistent, timely, and meets gold-standard practices Workflows between Ops, Intake, and Clinical run smoothly New clinicians ramp up quickly with strong support A cohesive team culture aligned with our mission to close the care gap A well-maintained library of clinical SOPs and documentation Clear, measurable improvements in quality and/or throughput — not just team morale A strong, trusted working relationship with Product and Engineering, built on specific and proactive ideas Why Frontera Health? Help shape the future of pediatric behavioral healthcare Lead and grow a clinical team at a company built to close the care gap Join a mission-driven team backed by leading investors Make a real, measurable difference in the lives of children and families who need care Competitive compensation and benefits package Join us in building the future of behavioral healthcare. We have determined a salary range for this position that takes into account several factors including experience, knowledge, education, skills, and abilities. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline and the exact salary will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to the factors listed above. All full-time employee benefits include health benefits, 401(k) plan, and PTO per year. Compensation $175,000 — $200,000 USD Why Join Us At Frontera Care, you will be part of a mission-driven, supportive team making a real difference for children and families. We provide the tools, resources, collaboration you need to focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality, family-centered care. If you are passionate about helping children with autism, and want to grow your career while transforming access to care, accessible healthcare, we would love to welcome you to our team.
