Health and Safety Advisor (NEBOSH) - Renewables, Leeds or Bristol
Salary: £50K to £55K
Location: Home-based with site travel. You’ll need to live within reach of Leeds or Bristol.
You have kept big, busy sites safe. Now picture doing it where the UK’s clean energy actually gets built.
Your site experience carries straight into renewables. You don’t need to have worked in solar, wind or battery storage. If you have advised on live sites in water, electrical infrastructure, oil and gas or large-scale construction, you already know the hard part.
Two roles, two regions
You’d join a global energy solutions business that designs and delivers decarbonisation and renewable energy projects. There are two roles with the same title, one in each region.
Yorkshire, within reach of Leeds. You’d advise project teams and principal contractors on utility-scale solar, wind and BESS construction. Expect groundworks, heavy plant, HV, lifting, remote locations and large workforces. This is where renewable energy gets built at scale.
South West, within reach of Bristol. You’d support a city-wide decarbonisation programme with a 2035 target. Solar, EV charging and BESS are going in across many locations, close to where the public walk, drive and live. It is a long run of projects, not one build, and your advice shapes how safe working is set up across all of them.
What you’ll do
You’ll review RAMS, support CDM compliance and inspect live sites. You’ll investigate incidents and help teams put practical controls in place. In the South West, that includes managing work close to the public.
You’re the person who spots the problem early and explains it plainly. Site managers and contractors listen because you’re clear, fair and useful.
About you
You hold the NEBOSH General Certificate. You have H&S experience in at least one of water, electrical infrastructure, oil and gas, or large-scale construction.
You’re comfortable on large active sites and confident with site managers and contractors. You manage your own diary and work well from home between visits.
You’ll need to live within reach of Leeds or Bristol. The role involves regular site visits in that region.
What you get
A salary of £50K to £55K, a home-based role with site travel, and work that sits at the centre of the UK’s energy transition. Package details beyond salary will be confirmed when we speak.
How to apply
Send us your CV and a few lines on the largest or most complex site you have kept safe. Tell us which location suits you. We’ll give you an honest view on fit.
