The Opportunity

Do you want to be the person who makes sure everyone goes home safe, every single day?

We’re looking for an experienced, driven HSEQ Manager to join our Contracting business. This isn’t a desk-based role. You’ll be out on customer sites and live contracting projects across the UK, seeing first-hand how work is being done, making sure everything is safe, and working alongside our teams to put things right when it isn’t.

Just as importantly, you’ll be helping to shift our safety culture. That means moving beyond compliance to a culture where every colleague and subcontractor takes ownership of safety, feels confident to speak up, and looks out for each other. You’ll be visible, approachable and trusted on site, bringing Holcim’s safety strategy to life one conversation at a time.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll have real influence and ownership. You’ll shape our integrated HSEQ Management System across a varied portfolio of civil engineering, sports and surfacing projects, and play your part in Holcim’s decarbonisation journey.

Who you are
  • You’re a proactive, tenacious HSEQ professional who loves driving improvement and can influence cultural change at every level, from the site team to the boardroom.

  • You’re at your best out on site, building trust with frontline teams and confident having the conversations that keep people safe.

  • With exceptional knowledge of UK HSE legislation, especially for civils works, surfacing and groundworks, you’re the person others turn to for answers.

  • As a sharp investigator, you dig into root causes and use risk assessment to stop issues before they happen.

  • Confident with integrated management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001), you bring them to life rather than just maintaining them.

Ready to Make Your Mark?

This is your chance to be the person who changes how safety is lived, not just how it’s managed. You’ll be out on site and trusted by the teams around you, leading a culture where everyone goes home safe, every single day.

If you’re ready to bring your energy, expertise and passion to the projects that shape Britain, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and help us build a safer, greener future together.

We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
