Health Plan Specialist - Commercial (100% Remote)

We're seeking customer-focused professionals to join our team as Health Plan Specialists. In this fully remote position, you'll help health plan members understand their benefits, resolve billing concerns, answer enrollment questions, and provide exceptional service during the busy Open Enrollment season.

Location: Remote (Eligible States: AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OK, SD, TN, VA, WI)

What You'll Do

• Handle 100% inbound customer service calls from health plan members
• Manage approximately 50-70 calls per day during peak enrollment periods
• Assist members with benefits, billing, enrollment, and coverage questions
• Research and resolve complex member concerns from start to finish
• Document all interactions accurately and thoroughly
• Utilize multiple applications and online resources simultaneously
• Provide timely follow-up and ownership of member issues
• Deliver compassionate, professional customer service
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive member experience
• Participate in virtual meetings and training sessions

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years of call center experience
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and screens simultaneously
• Reliable attendance history
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Remote Work Requirements

Candidates must have:

Hard-wired internet connection via Ethernet cable

Dedicated professional workspace free from distractions

Ability to be on camera during meetings and training

Willingness to use company-provided equipment, including:

• Headset
• Dual monitors
• Additional equipment as provided

Schedule Expectations

Candidates must be available to work within:

Monday-Friday

• 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM CST

Saturday

• 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM CST

Preference is for candidates who are open to later shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
