DESCRIPTION Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Summer 2027 Highways Intern to work out of our Chicago, IL office. The successful Highways Intern will work under the direction of a Project Engineer or Project Manager in the Chicago office supporting the Highways department with design and other technical duties/daily activities. We are seeking an Intern for Summer 2027. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar program Focus in Transportation (or similar) preferred Software proficiency – Microsoft Office Excellent analytical skills Strong written/verbal communication skills Proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation COMPENSATION The approximate compensation range for this position is $19- $25 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
