Role Description The Confirmed Application Tester will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test cases for mobile applications and enterprise software solutions. Day-to-day activities include performing functional, regression, and integration testing, analyzing test results, and documenting defects with clear steps to reproduce. The role involves close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and project managers to refine requirements, validate features, and support release cycles. The tester will contribute to improving test processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and maintaining test documentation and reports. This is a 12-month contract role, based in the Brussels Region, Belgium, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility.

Role Overview

As an Application Tester, you will support the functional testing coordination activities for a business application programme. You will be responsible for preparing, organizing, executing and documenting functional tests to ensure that the applications meet business requirements and operate correctly across integrated systems.

The assignment involves testing an application platform based on Odoo ERP, including its integrations with other systems, such as a website, a geomatics platform, an exchange platform and an advisory/opinion management system.

You will work closely with the functional test coordinator, business stakeholders and technical teams to validate application functionality, identify defects and support the overall quality of the solution.

• Test Planning and Preparation: Develop and document test scenarios, test cases and test plans based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Functional Application Testing: Execute functional tests to verify that application features behave as expected and meet business needs.
• End-to-End Testing: Validate complete business workflows across the main application and its integrated modules.
• Integration Testing: Verify data exchanges and interactions between Odoo ERP and connected platforms, including websites and other business applications.
• Regression Testing: Prepare and execute regression test plans to ensure that new developments or modifications do not negatively affect existing functionality.
• Test Management: Use JIRA and Xray to organize test cases, manage test execution and document test results.
• Defect Management: Identify, record, document and track defects, anomalies and non-conformities, working with the relevant teams to support resolution.
• Test Documentation and Reporting: Maintain structured testing documentation and communicate test progress, results, issues and risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with the functional test coordinator, business users, developers and other testing team members.
• Quality Assurance: Contribute to a structured and rigorous testing approach to ensure application reliability and compliance with defined business expectations.

• Proven experience in functional application testing.
• Strong understanding of test planning, test scenario preparation, test execution and regression testing.
• Experience with end-to-end testing and testing integrated applications.
• Practical knowledge of defect tracking and test documentation.
• Experience using JIRA and preferably Xray for test management.
• Good understanding of application functionality, business processes and system integrations.
• Ability to analyse requirements, identify inconsistencies and document findings clearly.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a structured working approach.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with business and technical teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• French proficiency at C2 level is required.
