Role Description The Hotel General Manager at RB Consult RH will oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction, service quality, and safety. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with a combination of on-site presence and some work-from-home flexibility for administrative and planning tasks. Key responsibilities include managing front-of-house and back-of-house activities, supervising staff, coordinating housekeeping and maintenance, and ensuring efficient reservation and reception processes. The role also involves monitoring budgets and financial performance, supporting sales and marketing initiatives, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. The Hotel General Manager will regularly review performance metrics, handle guest feedback, implement service improvements, and collaborate with ownership and consultants to achieve operational and strategic goals.
Qualifications
  • Experience in hotel or hospitality management, with demonstrated ability to oversee daily operations, staff supervision, and guest services.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, cost control, and basic financial analysis, with the capacity to manage revenue targets and operational expenses.
  • Proficiency in hotel systems and office software (e.g., PMS, reservation platforms, spreadsheets, and presentation tools).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse teams and build positive guest relationships.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on service quality, continuous improvement, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory standards relevant to hotel operations in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site leadership with remote administrative responsibilities.
  • Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the Abu Dhabi or broader UAE market and multilingual capabilities (e.g., English plus Arabic or other languages) are an advantage.
