HR Business Partner

Deeside, North Wales | £50,000 - £55,000 | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Hybrid Working: 4 Days On-Site / 1 Day Remote

We are recruiting on a confidential basis for an experienced HR Business Partner to join an established manufacturing business based in Deeside on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, influencing managers and delivering practical, people-focused HR solutions in a fast-paced environment.

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have previous experience within manufacturing, production, FMCG, logistics or a similar operational environment.

The Role

Working closely with site leadership and the wider HR function, you will provide both strategic and operational HR support, ensuring people initiatives align with business objectives.

This is a varied, hands-on position where you will act as a trusted partner to managers, supporting the full employee lifecycle whilst driving continuous improvement across HR processes and practices.

Key responsibilities will include:

  Partnering with operational managers to provide commercially focused HR advice and support.

• 
  

  Managing employee relations matters, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes.

• 
  

  Supporting recruitment, onboarding, talent management and succession planning.

• 
  

  Coaching and developing line managers to improve people management capability.

• 
  

  Supporting the implementation of HR policies, procedures and wider people initiatives.

• 
  

  Driving employee engagement, retention and organisational development.

• 
  

  Monitoring HR metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• 
  

  Supporting training, development and performance management activities.

• 
  

  Contributing to wider HR projects and change initiatives.

• 
  

  Building effective working relationships across the site and wider business.

About You

We are looking for an approachable, resilient and confident HR professional who can build credibility quickly and is comfortable operating within a busy, operational environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• 
  

  Proven experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Manager or senior HR advisory role.

• 
  

  Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, production, logistics or a similar operational setting.

• 
  

  Strong employee relations experience and sound knowledge of UK employment legislation.

• 
  

  Experience supporting and influencing operational managers.

• 
  

  The ability to balance strategic HR priorities with day-to-day operational demands.

• 
  

  Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

• 
  

  A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.

• 
  

  CIPD qualification or equivalent practical HR experience.

Experience working within a site-based environment and supporting operational or production teams would be particularly advantageous.
