The Human Resources Business Partner, Senior Manager, serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to Wolverine Worldwide’s global enterprise functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Strategy, and Legal. This role aligns talent, leadership, and organizational strategies with business priorities to drive performance, strengthen organizational capability, and build a future-ready workforce. The HRBP, Senior Manager leads initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, accelerate talent and succession outcomes, advance digital and AI-enabled ways of working, and develop the capabilities needed for long-term success. Through strong partnership, business acumen, and data-driven decision making, this role helps create a high-performing culture where people, teams, and the business can win together.
Primary Duties:
Strategic Business Partnership
Partner with executive leaders to align talent, organizational, and workforce strategies with business priorities that enable sustainable growth and high performance.
Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders on complex talent, workforce, organizational design, employee relations, and change-related decisions.
Use workforce insights, talent metrics, and business data to assess organizational health, identify capability needs, and inform workforce planning.
Talent Acceleration
Lead talent planning, succession planning, and leadership development to build a strong and diverse pipeline of future leaders and critical talent.
Partner with leaders to assess capability needs and strengthen leadership effectiveness for future business demands.
Collaborate with Talent, Learning & Organizational Development teams to deliver experiences that accelerate growth, performance, and career progression.
Organizational Effectiveness & Transformation
Lead organizational design, team effectiveness, and workforce planning initiatives that optimize structure, clarify accountabilities, and improve agility.
Drive change management and transformation efforts as leaders and teams navigate evolving business needs, new ways of working, and organizational change.
Champion digital transformation and AI adoption by helping leaders identify emerging skill needs and build future-ready capabilities.
Culture & Employee Experience
Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture that reflects Wolverine Worldwide’s values and strengthens engagement, collaboration, and accountability.
Partner with leaders to enhance the employee experience and create an environment where individuals and teams can thrive and perform at their best.
Support the attraction, development, engagement, and retention of talent across the organization.
HR Stewardship & Leadership
Partner with Total Rewards and Centers of Excellence to design and implement programs that support business objectives and employee needs.
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies while balancing business and employee considerations.
Perform duties consistent with company policies, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements, and other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or advanced HR/business certification preferred.
7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including strategic HR leadership experience supporting senior executives and complex business functions.
Expertise in organizational effectiveness, leadership development, talent strategy, and workforce transformation.
Ability to shape workforce plans that align talent, skills, and organizational capabilities with future business needs.
Strong technology and data fluency, including the ability to leverage workforce analytics, digital tools, and emerging AI capabilities to enhance business and talent outcomes.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate workforce data and business insights into strategic recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and challenge leaders to drive business performance and talent outcomes.
Proven success building high-performing, inclusive teams and cultures that promote engagement, accountability, and continuous growth.
Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance practices within a complex, global business environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Working Conditions:
Normal office and warehouse environment. Some travel required.
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
