Position Summary:
The HR Generalist supports a broad range of HR activities and serves as a key resource for employees throughout the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, HR transactions, benefits and leave administration support, payroll support, employee feedback surveys, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, analytical, and confident interacting with employees at all levels. This person takes initiative, follows through on commitments, and is comfortable solving problems and building relationships across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Facilitate company-wide new hire orientation and help create a positive first impression for new employees.
- Process employee transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy across HR systems.
- Support benefits administration, leave management, and payroll-related activities.
- Administer new hire and employee feedback surveys.
- Analyze employee feedback and HR data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for HR leadership.
- Assist with HR projects, audits, compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain HR documentation, checklists, and employee resources.
- Partner with HR team members to deliver a positive and consistent employee experience.
- Build strong working relationships with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, employee services, benefits, payroll, onboarding, HR operations, or a related field.
- Experience supporting multiple HR functions preferred.
- Experience working with HRIS systems preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Intermediate Excel skills, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, filtering, sorting, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build credibility and positive working relationships at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Comfortable learning new systems and technology.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR questions and requests.
