Do you enjoy the variety of HR, from finding the right person for a role to helping employees develop and supporting managers with everyday challenges? As an HR Generalist at Donaldson, you will support employees and managers across our three Italian locations: Ostiglia, Porto Mantovano and Opera. These sites bring together colleagues across our Mobile Solutions, Life Sciences and Industrial Solutions businesses, giving you exposure to different teams, roles and business needs.

You will join our Italian HR team and work closely with the HR Manager, local production managers and colleagues across EMEA. Recruitment, onboarding, training and employee engagement will be central to your role, alongside the operational HR activities that keep our sites running smoothly. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with travel to Porto

Mantovano and Opera.

Your responsibilities

• Manage recruitment across our three Italian locations with hiring managers and the EMEA Talent Acquisition team.
• Build relationships with schools and universities and coordinate onboarding for new employees.
• Coordinate training, maintain training records and support performance reviews.
• Turn employee feedback into practical engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
• Advise employees and managers on everyday HR matters, applying Italian employment legislation and company policies.
• Support HR and payroll administration, maintaining accurate employee records and reports.

Minimum qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Economics, Law or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least three years of experience in a generalist HR role
• Sound knowledge of Italian employment legislation and its practical application.
• Fluent Italian and advanced English, with the confidence to collaborate internationally.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance changing priorities.
• An approachable, service-oriented manner and a practical approach to solving problems.
• Confidence working with HR systems and data, with strong attention to accuracy.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to move between different HR activities.
• Willingness to travel between our Italian locations.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Experience working in an international organization.
• Familiarity with Workday
• A master’s specialization in HR or an additional relevant HR qualification.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is €33,500–€44,600. Actual salary will depend on relevant experience, training, education and other applicable factors.
