Home Heart Florida · Remote, Philippines · Independent contractor · US Eastern hours

Home Heart Florida is a pediatric home health company in Florida. Our nurses care for medically complex children in their own homes, often overnight and often for years. Before a nurse can start with a family, we have to collect and check a long list of documents, and every one of them has to be right.

What you will do

You will own onboarding for every new nurse, from the day the nurse accepts an offer until their first shift. You report to our HR Director.

  • Chase missing documents. Each nurse owes us a different set of documents, such as licenses, CPR cards, TB tests, background checks and signed forms, and each one has its own deadline. You will know what is missing before anyone asks, and you will keep following up, politely, until it arrives.
  • Keep the onboarding checklist and each personnel file current. Any file should be ready for an auditor to open on any day.
  • Check in with each new nurse at 30 days and at 90 days.

By day 90, we expect you to run onboarding for new nurses without daily help. Each nurse's documents are collected and filed before their first shift, the files you handle would pass an audit, and the 30-day check-ins happen on time. You do not need to know US home health rules already. We will teach you what you need.

Who we are looking for

We care more about how organized you are than about which industry you come from. We are looking for someone who:

  • Follows written instructions exactly. This post is a test of that, as you will see in the How to apply section below.
  • Is organized in a specific way that you can describe, for example a tracker with a row for each person, a column for each document, due dates, and a daily review of who to chase first.
  • Has done HR, onboarding or recruiting work for a named employer. Recruiting counts the same as HR.
  • Writes and speaks clear English.
  • Can work 8 AM to 5 PM U.S. Eastern time, Monday to Friday, with a reliable internet connection.

Experience with credentialing or insurance is helpful but not required.

The details

  • Fully remote. The role is aimed at the Philippines. We also consider applicants who live elsewhere, as long as they can work these hours and accept the terms below.
  • 8 AM to 5 PM U.S. Eastern time, Monday to Friday
  • $1,200 USD per month, a flat monthly rate
  • Independent contractor, not an employee
  • Reports to our HR Director

The monthly rate is flat, with no benefits or paid time off.

How to apply

Read this part carefully. We use it to see who follows instructions, because the job is made of following instructions. Complete every step on the application form. An application that misses a step cannot move forward.

  1. Upload your resume or CV.
  2. The hidden word is TRELLIS. Type it into the question on the application form that asks for the hidden word.
  3. Record a video of about 2 minutes, in English, and paste the link into the application. A Loom video or an unlisted YouTube video is fine. In the video, tell us who you are, describe your HR or onboarding experience, and give one example of tracking many people's documents at once. The video is required.
  4. Answer this question in 200 words or fewer: you are responsible for 50 nurses who each owe you a different set of documents, with different deadlines. How would you track them, and how would you know on any given morning who to chase first?
  5. Tell us which U.S. Eastern hours you can reliably work. This role is 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday.
  6. Give us your city and province.
