Are you looking for a role where you can combine HR, operations, employee experience and workplace leadership while helping to shape the future of a growing international business?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad and highly visible HR & Operations function within an international organisation. Reporting to the HR Director and partnering closely with senior leadership across the region, you will play a pivotal role in supporting employees, driving operational excellence and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a dynamic European business unit.
Based in Darmstadt and supporting a team of approximately 30 employees, you will be the local lead across a wide range of people and operational activities. The role offers significant variety and autonomy, combining HR administration, employee engagement, wellbeing, health & safety, facilities oversight, supplier management, business support and project coordination.
You will act as a trusted point of contact for employees throughout their lifecycle with the business, supporting onboarding and offboarding, maintaining employee records, administering absence and time management systems, liaising with payroll providers and assisting with a variety of HR initiatives. At the same time, you will take ownership of operational activities including supplier and contract management, fleet administration, travel coordination, workplace facilities, hardware management and the organisation of meetings and events.
The position also carries responsibility for employee wellbeing, inclusion and workplace compliance. You will act as the local Inclusion Officer, lead wellbeing initiatives across the German business and coordinate health & safety activities, helping to create an environment where employees feel supported, engaged and able to perform at their best.
This role will suit someone who enjoys responsibility, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes a proactive approach to solving problems. You may already be working within HR, operations, workplace management or business support and be looking for an opportunity that offers greater breadth, visibility and career progression. Fluency in German is essential, while experience working within an international business environment would be highly advantageous.
For the right person, this opportunity offers significant long-term career development. As the business continues to grow across Europe, there is a clear pathway to take on wider HR and operational responsibilities across additional markets including France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands.
In return, you'll receive a salary of up to €65,000 depending on experience, together with an attractive benefits package and hybrid working, including the opportunity to work from home one or two days per week following induction. You'll join a collaborative international environment where you'll have genuine influence, exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute to key strategic projects, including an upcoming office relocation programme.
