About Us

Kavren Technologies is a U.S.-based company that builds and operates a portfolio of brands across healthcare and technology, including a national telehealth platform and a primary care clinic in Miami. Our team works remotely across the United States and Latin America.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior HR professional to own HR operations across our portfolio: employee records, documentation and compliance by country, onboarding and offboarding, and the systems that keep it all organized. This is an operations role, not recruiting. Talent acquisition is handled by a separate team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Employee records: build and maintain a complete, organized file for every team member, by company and by country, in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint and OneDrive).
  • Documentation and compliance: make sure every team member has the right agreements, tax forms and required documents for their country, for U.S. employees and contractors and for independent contractors in Latin America.
  • Background and reference checks completed before every start date.
  • Onboarding and offboarding: agreements signed and access granted on day one, and access removed the same day someone leaves.
  • Policies and handbook: write clear policies, keep them current, and make sure the team acknowledges them.
  • Performance and culture: run review cycles, track probation periods, and build a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Weekly HR report to the founder: headcount, open items, compliance gaps and risks.

Must Haves

  • 5+ years in HR operations or HR generalist roles, including at least 2 years running the HR function on your own.
  • Proven experience organizing employee files and documentation for remote teams in more than one country.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. hiring documentation (W-2, 1099, W-9, W-8BEN, I-9) and independent contractor agreements in Latin America.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams), and comfortable using AI tools to work faster.
  • Native Spanish and advanced English, written and spoken.
  • Full availability during U.S. Eastern business hours, and responsive on Teams and WhatsApp.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare: HIPAA training, and license and credential tracking for clinical staff.
  • Experience with an HRIS and e-signature tools.
  • Experience supporting several companies or brands at the same time.

What We Offer

  • USD $2,500 – $3,500 per month, paid against invoice.
  • Full-time, exclusive independent contractor agreement, 100% remote.
  • Direct reporting to the founder.

How to Apply

Send your resume with a link to a video (Loom or similar) of no more than 5 minutes, included in your resume or cover letter, answering:

  1. An HR function you organized from scratch or out of chaos: what you found, what you built, and the result.
  2. How you would organize employee records for a remote team spread across several companies and countries in your first 30 days.
  3. How you handle the documentation differences between U.S. team members and contractors in Latin America.

Only applications that include the video will be reviewed.
