ABOUT US:
Gisou is born out of a passion for bees and haircare, based on a six-generation beekeeping heritage, our products are inspired by and made with the finest, sustainably sourced ingredients from our very own Mirsalehi Bee Garden.
At Gisou we are on a mission to share our HONEY GLOW. As a rapidly growing scale-up, we're dedicated to crafting iconic beauty products, and building a world-class team to drive our vision and brand forward. We are talent obsessed and deeply believe that the raw skills of our people, and their collective brilliance is what makes us truly extraordinary!
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You’ll keep our people operations running smoothly and accurately. You’ll be the first point of contact for employees, manage the full employee lifecycle from an admin point of view, run benefits across all our locations, and make sure we always comply with Dutch employment law. You’ll also look for ways to make our HR processes simpler, faster and more automated. This role suits someone who loves detail, takes ownership, and wants to grow in HR.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Be a trusted point of contact
Be the first point of contact for employees on HR questions, from contracts and leave to benefits and policies.
Give clear, friendly and accurate answers, and escalate complex cases to the right person.
Make sure employees can easily find HR information, for example through FAQs, guides and an up-to-date employee handbook.
Act as the main contact for benefits, immigration and relocation providers.
Make the employee journey work
Take over from Recruitment once a candidate is hired. Coordinate contracts, information and practical preparations before their first day, including visa and relocation where needed.
Coordinate changes and departures with the same care, so everyone involved knows what needs to happen and when.
Own all employee contracts, renewals and addendums, and keep accurate records.
Help coordinate annual cycles, including salary reviews, performance reviews and engagement surveys.
Get the essentials right
Make sure our HR policies, processes and documentation comply with Dutch law and reflect internal policy.
Track legislative changes, for example on fixed-term contracts, immigration, sick leave, working hours, pensions and data privacy. Flag their impact early and turn them into practical updates.
Make sure we meet our IND recognised sponsor obligations.
Support sickness absence processes in line with the Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter), working with our occupational health provider (arbodienst).
Manage our benefits programmes across our main and satellite locations, including health insurance, pension and wellbeing. Make sure we comply with local regulations in each region.
Keep records audit-ready and support internal and external audits.
Build better ways of working
Review HR processes regularly to find manual work, bottlenecks and risks.
Automate and streamline workflows in HiBob and connected tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and the employee experience.
Run HR reporting and analytics in HiBob and Excel, turning data into insights that shape our HR strategy.
Document processes clearly so they’re easy to follow, scale and hand over.
Support HR projects as they come up
WHO YOU ARE:
Solid working knowledge of Dutch employment law, and confidence applying it in practice.
Proven experience in an HR operations role, ideally in a fast-growing or international company.
Hands-on experience administering an HRIS. HiBob experience is a strong plus.
A process and systems mindset: you pick up new tools quickly, spot inefficiencies, and enjoy improving and automating how things work.
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to juggle priorities.
Excellent communication skills in English and a service-minded, approachable style. Dutch is a strong advantage.
A high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
Curiosity and a drive to keep learning and growing in HR.
WHAT WE OFFER:
1 day of remote working per week.
Subsidised fresh daily lunch via our partner Feedr, plus drinks and snacks provided in the office.
Regular team activities and drinks.
Contribution towards ClassPass membership.
Mental health support via OpenUp.
Ability to lease a bike with a small employer contribution.
Every year, you’ll receive a personal employee gift card.
At Gisou, you’ll be part of an ambitious, fast-growing beauty company with an international, dynamic, and collaborative atmosphere. You’ll join a team of creative powerhouses and bold thinkers who bring out the best in each other and work together to build something iconic.
Growth here isn’t a side benefit it’s part of the journey. As our business continues to evolve globally, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to stretch your skills, push your boundaries, and shape the future of beauty with us.
