We are seeking a Transformation Consultant to help shape the future of work by redesigning workforce experiences, rethinking how work is performed, and accelerating enterprise transformation initiatives. This role combines strategy, consulting, process transformation, operating model design, and AI enablement to drive meaningful business outcomes at scale.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing executive-level transformation strategies, facilitating cross-functional workshops, and partnering with stakeholders to implement scalable solutions that improve productivity, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Accelerate AI & Digital Transformation
- Assess workforce processes and workflows to identify opportunities for AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Design AI-enabled experiences that simplify work, reduce administrative burden, and improve decision-making.
- Partner with technology teams to evaluate, prototype, and scale generative AI, workflow automation, and intelligent self-service solutions.
- Help establish future-state ways of working that balance innovation, governance, risk management, and user adoption.
Design Future-State Workforce Experiences
- Apply service design, design thinking, journey mapping, and systems-thinking methodologies to solve complex business problems.
- Create future-state operating models that integrate people, process, technology, data, and AI capabilities.
- Simplify fragmented experiences and eliminate unnecessary complexity across end-to-end workflows.
Deliver Strategic Consulting Engagements
- Facilitate discovery sessions, design workshops, stakeholder interviews, and transformation assessments.
- Develop executive-ready recommendations, business cases, implementation plans, and operating model designs.
- Influence leaders across a complex organization and build alignment around transformational change.
- Drive initiatives from concept through implementation while tracking adoption, impact, and business value realization.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Business Transformation, Digital Transformation, Operating Model Design, Workforce Transformation, Strategy, Innovation, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale transformation programs, including process redesign, operating model modernization, organizational change, and technology enablement.
- Experience identifying and implementing AI, automation, or digital solutions that improve business performance, employee productivity, or customer experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
Working Model: Hybrid ()
We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.
Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
