Scope of responsibilities

Under the responsibility of a Cost Performance Engineer Manager, the Cost Performance Engineer (IPC) contributes to the economic performance of an Organ by ensuring the monitoring and coordination of the various Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) items in the project phase or during serial life.

COGS:

Purchasing Bought of Parts, Materials costs.

Inbound & customs costs.

Manufacturing costs (Added value, Depreciation)

The technical scope of responsibility corresponds to combustion Engines

What you will do

• Lead the convergence of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) of Horse Organs with the different business departments by providing the company with the analyses and summaries necessary for managing economic performance in the project phase and in the serial life phase through the coordination of the cost analysts and engineer summary cost of the scope.

• Provide a critical look and propose areas for improvement to the professions contributing to the achievement of economic targets by highlighting potential and economic levers. This challenge is based on comparative analyzes (benchmarks) and business roadmaps.

• Propose the allocation of performance objectives to the professions based on the potential that it assesses within its scope of responsibility.

• Build economic files to arbitrate the choice of different solutions.

• Pilot and lead the construction of the forecast phases of COGS for its scope of responsibility (medium-term plans, budget, annual forecasts).

• Carry out summaries and reporting of COGS at the level of Organs and transversal objects monitored with their macroeconomic projections and budgetary assumptions.

• Manage and organize the activities of the management in charge of the COGS in compliance with Organ’s project milestones.

• Document the “cost” aspect of the project and series life milestones, lead economic convergence or organize, prepare and lead (where applicable) the team for preparing project milestones and monthly summaries.

• Coordinate the costing and synthesis activities for his project

• Ensure consistency in respecting the processes and robustness of the data reported.

Autonomy and Action perimeter

• Be autonomous in the accomplishment of its various missions.

• Be responsible for the development of its deliverables which can be presented by the project manager in decision.

• Ensure economic summaries by scope of activity.

• Be a force of proposal to highlight potential and economic levers among the professions and to identify solutions subject to validation by other partner Departments.

Main working relationships

Works in close collaboration to drive performance and to build economic summaries of projects and serial vehicles with:

• The engineering project manager, product program and/or transversal objects

• The Purchasing project manager

• The Technical synthesis engineer and mechanical synthesis architect.

• The Economic project manager

• Management in charge of the SALES prices

• Management in charge of partnerships

• Manager of business projects and their Management Control: Manufacturing, Logistics, Warranty, etc. Communicates occasionally provide economic summary elements according to the needs of the project with the Director of project and/or business engineering for decision.

What we’re looking for

• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory. French is a plus.

• Proficiency in IT and office tools, particularly Excel and SAP.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
