POSITION SPECIFICS
Dr. Amy Moore in the Department of Nutritional Sciences within the College of Health and Human Development is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented applicant for a full-time Human Research Technologist position.
This position offers an opportunity to work with a collaborative, community-engaged, and interdisciplinary research team on projects focused on nutrition, health, and well-being among families with young children. The primary role of this position will be to oversee the day-to-day coordination of ongoing and newly funded research projects, including implementing study protocols, recruiting and consenting participants, and managing data collection and quality assurance procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and review research protocols, including the design of recruitment materials and data collection instruments.
- Recruit potential participants for research studies; communicate with participants and coordinate their participation across the lifecycle of studies; maintain study databases.
- Develop, review, and submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents and modifications; ensure implemented procedures adhere to IRB-approved protocols.
- Deliver content, collect, and manage project data in accordance with research protocols.
- Participate in community-engaged activities with the research team.
- Serve as liaison with Principal Investigator (PI), research collaborators, and community partners.
- Prepare reports and presentations for a wide range of audiences; opportunities for authorship on research projects will be available in the form of abstracts, manuscripts, and conference presentations.
- May supervise staff members, including scheduling and day-to-day performance management, and assist with hiring and onboarding new staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS
This candidate must have research experience and a range of skills needed to coordinate participants and research study workflows. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and attention to detail are a must. Experience with REDCap and IRB protocols is desirable.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Associate Degree
2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

SCHEDULE

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $44,628.00 - $64,668.00.
