What You’ll Do Serve as a Strategic Business Partner Build trusted relationships with leaders and develop a strong understanding of their teams, operations, goals, and challenges Translate business priorities into practical HR strategies and people solutions Anticipate workforce needs and identify opportunities to strengthen organizational performance Provide thoughtful, balanced guidance that considers employees, business needs, company values, and risk Partner with HR colleagues and Centers of Excellence to deliver an integrated HR experience Coach and Influence Leaders Coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, team effectiveness, organizational change, and leadership practices Ask thoughtful questions that help leaders evaluate issues, consider alternatives, and make sound decisions Influence outcomes through credibility, business knowledge, data, and strong relationships Help leaders prepare for and navigate difficult conversations with clarity, consistency, and respect Reinforce accountability while supporting leaders in building engaged, high-performing teams Lead Employee Relations Provide guidance on performance concerns, corrective action, workplace investigations, accommodations, leaves, and other employee matters Conduct fair, thorough, and timely workplace investigations Evaluate complex situations, identify potential risk, and recommend appropriate next steps Ensure employee matters are handled consistently, professionally, and with appropriate documentation Recognize when legal or specialized HR guidance is needed and coordinate escalation appropriately Support a Multi-State Workforce Apply HR policies and employment practices across multiple states and jurisdictions Research state-specific requirements and partner with internal resources to address compliance considerations Help leaders understand how applicable laws, policies, and practices affect employment decisions Support organizational changes, workforce transitions, and other business initiatives across assigned locations Maintain current knowledge of evolving HR practices and employment requirements Strengthen Talent and Organizational Effectiveness Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent development Identify skill gaps, performance trends, and opportunities to strengthen team capability Support employee engagement and retention strategies Guide leaders through performance and talent review processes Partner with recruiting and leadership teams to attract, select, develop, and retain strong talent Support change-management efforts through clear communication, leader preparation, and employee engagement Use Data to Drive Better Decisions Analyze workforce information to identify trends related to turnover, engagement, staffing, performance, and other people indicators Translate HR data into meaningful insights and practical recommendations Use facts, patterns, and business context to evaluate problems and recommend solutions Monitor the effectiveness of HR initiatives and adjust strategies as needed Maintain accurate employee information and documentation within ADP Vantage What You Bring Required multi-state HR business partner experience , including experience advising leaders across different state employment requirements Five or more years of progressive human resources experience, including direct experience in an HR Business Partner or comparable consultative HR role Strong working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, employment practices, and the employee lifecycle Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders at multiple levels of an organization Experience supporting geographically dispersed employees and operational leaders Strong business acumen and the ability to connect people decisions to operational priorities Sound judgment and the ability to navigate complex or sensitive situations Experience using workforce data to identify trends and guide decisions Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills Excellent relationship-building, consultation, and communication skills Ability to balance strategic priorities with the timely resolution of day-to-day HR needs Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment Ability to travel to supported locations as business needs require Experience with ADP Vantage is strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred;
