We’re partnering with an established construction business undergoing significant people, systems and business transformation. It’s a great time to join the HR team, take on greater ownership and build your Business Partnering experience.
About you:
This is an excellent next move for an experienced HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor ready to step into an HR Business Partner role, or an early-career HRBP looking for broader exposure.
You’ll bring solid generalist HR experience, confidence partnering directly with managers and exposure to ER. Experience within construction, property, engineering, infrastructure or another operational/project-based environment would be advantageous.
You’ll enjoy getting out into the business, building relationships with operational stakeholders and taking ownership.
The role:
Working closely with Project Managers and operational leaders, you’ll support around five projects at any one time, with workforce planning a key focus. As projects ramp up and wind down, you’ll anticipate future workforce needs, coordinate the movement of employees between projects and partner with the internal Talent team on upcoming recruitment.
You’ll also:
- Partner with Project Managers on current and future workforce requirements
- Provide practical HR advice and coaching to managers
- Manage ER and performance matters
- Support managers through annual performance reviews
- Undertake weekly site visits and build relationships with project teams (own car required)
- Present and facilitate training
- Contribute to broader People & Culture and transformation initiatives
Why join?
The business is embarking on a significant five-year transformation agenda, with investment across its people practices, HR infrastructure and broader operations.
For someone stepping up into an HRBP role, it’s a great opportunity to gain exposure beyond BAU HR across workforce planning, leadership capability, performance, culture and business transformation.
Based in North Sydney, you’ll have one day WFH each week, with Mondays as the team office day. There is flexibility around standard 8:30am–5:30pm hours.
Salary: $100,000–$120,000 + super, depending on experience.
