HR Business Partner

Location: Leinster, Republic of Ireland

Working Arrangement: Remote-based with regular travel to sites

Salary: €60,000 - €70,000 DOE per annum

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced HR professional with strong Employee Relations (ER) expertise and the confidence to advise and influence operational leaders?

Sodexo is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support multiple accounts and client sites across the Republic of Ireland. This is a hands-on, operational role where employee relations will be a key priority, alongside providing practical HR guidance, supporting organisational change, and helping managers build effective teams.

We’re looking for someone with substantial experience managing complex ER cases, excellent knowledge of Irish employment law, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on complex employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, absence management, performance issues, probation and appeals.
  • Provide clear, practical advice to managers on Irish employment law, company policies, fair procedures and risk management.
  • Manage multiple ER cases simultaneously, ensuring appropriate documentation, timely progression and escalation of significant risks.
  • Coach and support Account Managers and site managers, building their confidence and capability in handling people matters.
  • Support organisational change, employee consultation, redundancy processes and TUPE-related activity where applicable.
  • Partner with operational leaders on workforce planning, recruitment, retention, employee engagement and talent development.
  • Analyse HR data and ER trends to identify risks and recommend practical improvements.
  • Build strong relationships across multiple accounts and client sites, balancing operational priorities with fair employee outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver people initiatives and support business growth and mobilisation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Substantial hands-on Employee Relations experience is essential, particularly managing complex and sensitive cases independently.
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish employment law and its practical application in an operational environment.
  • Proven experience managing investigations, disciplinary procedures, grievances, absence, performance management and appeals.
  • Experience supporting multiple managers, business areas or sites in a fast-paced environment.
  • Broad HR generalist experience, including organisational change, workforce planning, talent management and employee engagement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior operational leaders.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and case-management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
  • Commercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • A relevant HR qualification, degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable: Experience in a service-led or outsourced business, multi-site operations, TUPE, mobilisation and unionised environments.
