Oxford Street, London | Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)

Salary: Up to £55,000 + Benefits

Are you a commercially minded People Partner who enjoys building trusted relationships, influencing senior stakeholders and helping businesses create exceptional employee experiences?

We're partnering with a global high-end British fashion brand to appoint a People Partner on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Based at the company's Oxford Street head office, this is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded People team and partner with leaders across a diverse portfolio of corporate functions.

This role would suit an experienced HR professional who thrives on balancing strategic business partnering with practical, hands-on HR support and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About the Role

As People Partner, you'll support a client group of approximately 80-100 employees across a range of head office functions, acting as a trusted advisor to managers and directors while helping to deliver key people initiatives that support wider business objectives.

Working closely with the Head of People and wider People team, you'll provide expert guidance across the employee lifecycle, contribute to business-critical projects and help shape a positive, high-performing culture.

This is an opportunity to make a visible impact within an internationally recognised brand while gaining exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and commercial challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, credible relationships with managers, senior leaders and directors across multiple business functions.
  • Provide commercially focused HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Coach and develop managers on employee relations, performance management and leadership capability.
  • Manage a range of employee relations matters including performance, capability, long-term absence and organisational change.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify people priorities and develop effective solutions.
  • Analyse people data and trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the delivery of People projects and wider strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and culture programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist colleagues across the wider People function to deliver a seamless employee experience.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a well-rounded People Partner who combines commercial awareness with strong relationship-building skills and a genuine passion for supporting people and business performance.

You'll bring:

  • Previous experience as a People Partner, HR Business Partner or Senior HR generalist.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Solid employee relations experience and up-to-date employment law knowledge.
  • Experience delivering HR projects and organisational initiatives.
  • Strong coaching, communication and influencing skills.
  • A commercial mindset and an ability to balance employee experience with business needs.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who is:

  • Approachable and authentic.
  • Curious and commercially aware.
  • Credible and confident.
  • Adaptable and resilient.
  • Self-aware and emotionally intelligent.
  • Equally comfortable operating strategically and rolling up your sleeves when required.

Whilst experience within retail, fashion or consumer-facing businesses would be advantageous, we're also keen to hear from candidates who have developed their career within other fast-paced environments such as hospitality, media, consumer brands or professional services.
