HR Business Partner | Fintech

Location: Dublin | Hybrid

Contract: Full-time, permanent employment directly with the client

The opportunity

Dartry Search is partnering with a fintech business at the intersection of technology and financial services to appoint an HR Business Partner. This is an opportunity to support teams whose work brings together technical expertise, financial knowledge and commercial delivery. You will help leaders make thoughtful decisions about their people, balancing business priorities with a consistent and positive employee experience.

Working closely with business leaders and HR colleagues, you will take a broad remit across performance, talent development, employee relations and organisational change. The role will suit someone who enjoys getting close to the business, offering clear advice and taking responsibility for putting plans into practice.

What you’ll do

  • Help leaders plan the shape and capability of their teams, considering hiring needs, existing skills and opportunities for internal development.
  • Coach managers through performance reviews, development discussions and difficult conversations, building their confidence and effectiveness.
  • Advise on employee relations matters, handling sensitive issues fairly and applying Irish employment legislation and company policies appropriately.
  • Support talent and succession discussions, helping managers recognise potential, strengthen career opportunities and address retention concerns.
  • Bring together employee feedback and people data to understand what is working, identify concerns and recommend practical changes.
  • Work with HR colleagues and business stakeholders to deliver organisational changes and improve everyday people processes.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience as an HR Business Partner or in a broad HR generalist position, with responsibility for advising managers and delivering people initiatives.
  • Practical knowledge of Irish employment law and experience managing employee relations matters with care and discretion.
  • Examples of helping managers improve team performance, develop employees or work through change.
  • The ability to understand commercial priorities and explain the people implications clearly, including when a different approach is needed.
  • Confidence working with HR systems and data, using evidence alongside professional judgement.
  • Strong organisation and follow-through, with the ability to move between longer-term priorities and immediate employee or manager needs.

Experience in fintech, technology or financial services would be useful, particularly where you have supported teams with specialist skills.

What’s on offer

  • A broad HR role with exposure to both the technology and financial services sides of the business.
  • Close partnership with leaders and the opportunity to influence decisions affecting their teams.
  • A mix of advisory work and practical delivery across the employee lifecycle.
  • A permanent position based in Dublin, with hybrid working.
