This role will play an important role in supporting the employee experience, working on people programs and processes, and a variety of day-to-day HR Operations. You’ll be involved across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to engagement initiatives, HR programs, office management, company events, and off-boarding. What You’ll Be Responsible For: Support managers with day-to-day People questions and help navigate HR policies and processes. Identify opportunities to improve and streamline People processes, documentation, and the employee experience. Support the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of People policies and programs. Support our talent acquisition team by onboarding and offboarding team members. Manage and maintain employee data, record management, and our HRIS (UKG). Work with the payroll team on a semi-monthly basis to ensure accurate and timely information related to new hires, departures, leaves, deductions, compensation, time off, etc. Administer both Canadian and US benefits, including RRSP and 401k deductions and contributions. Partner with talent acquisition on quarterly people KPIs and reporting. Prepare monthly People reporting, including headcount, turnover, new hires, and departures. Administer company wide engagement surveys and other ongoing HR programs like review cycles. Manage and administer Leave of Absence (LOA) processes and documentation. Support, plan and coordinate company-wide All Hands meetings. Partner with the social committee on company events, socials, lunch and learns, office management, and engagement programs. Respond to day-to-day employee questions and provide guidance on HR processes and programs. Partner with the Senior Director of People Ops on ad hoc employee relations, compensation, learning & development, and other People initiatives based on experience. Provide backup support to talent acquisition for recruitment and onboarding activities as needed. Who You Are: 2-4 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a similar role. We’re open to candidates at either the Coordinator or Generalist level depending on experience. Working towards your CHRP designation or equivalent. Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. A proactive approach—you’re someone who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in supporting employees and the business. Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with an HRIS or other HR technology is an asset. For candidates at the Generalist level, experience independently owning HR processes and supporting managers with day-to-day People matters is an asset. The expected base salary for this position is: CAD $75,000 - $85,000. Salary is based on a number of factors including market conditions, location and may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. If you think your experience is most of the way there, we’d still love to meet you! Please note this is a flexible hybrid role based out of Toronto, Canada. Employees will be expected to be able to commute to the office 2 times a week. However, for training & onboarding purposes, the in-office expectation time will increase.
