Hybrid - General Accountant (IT company)

We're a growing international company with international management and clients across the Netherlands and Vietnam. We're looking for a General Accountant who wants to grow their career while supporting both our Vietnam and Netherlands entities.

The Accountant will report directly to the Chief Accountant and will support with the following tasks:

• Follow up on petty cash
• Prepare bank payment orders
• Collect payment request documents, check accuracy, verify invoices and vouchers, and store accounting records according to regulations
• Perform monthly treasury inventory
• Record financial data into accounting software and maintain up-to-date records
• Handle bookkeeping for both Vietnam and Netherlands entities
• Prepare and issue VAT invoices
• Prepare and submit periodic tax returns, including VAT, PIT, FCT, and financial statements, in compliance with applicable tax regulations
• Coordinate with the Netherlands team on cross-entity accounting matters, ensuring consistency and accurate reporting
• Perform other financial and accounting tasks as assigned by the Chief Accountant

The General Accountant is expected to have the following qualifications and skills:

• University degree in Accounting or Auditing
• 2-4 years of accounting experience (middle level - not required to independently manage the full set of books, but able to work with moderate supervision from the Chief Accountant)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Good English communication (spoken and written) — required for daily coordination with the Netherlands team and international management
• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to support daily tasks such as data entry checks, drafting reports, or summarizing documents
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in an FDI company and/or within the IT field preferred
• Experience with VAT refund processes preferred
• Experience working with Xero is a plus
