Hybrid & ICE Testing

Brief description of the position:

The position "Hybrid & ICE testing" is responsible for Hybrid-Drive from PHEV and EREV related testing including Hybrid Gearbox and internal combustion engine. This includes internal combustion engine test, HiL testing, Hybrid-Drive function test, performance test, endurance test, hybrid powertrain integration test and vehicle test. The candidate shall main focus on vehicle testing and management.

Key Tasks:

• Ensure the professional operation of their testing devices and systems, evaluating their results and compare them permanently with the other results of his test equipment. KPI: Run time statistic, planning status
• It helps to create a complete overview of all findings and the underlying problems for both the test item and the test benches. KPI: finding statistic
• Develop early detection methods based on the anomalies found and analyses carried out in later test phases. KPI: Suggestions for improvement in early detection
• Knows internal costs and external prices, outsources when unavoidable, transfers knowledge from external to internal. Participates in external tendering rounds and explains why the test cannot be carried out in-house. KPI: Chart about price trends Intern/ extern, Saving statistic for preventing external tests
• Responsible for internal quality assurance and the certification of external test benches to ensure maximum comparability of results. KPI: Internal quality certificates, external audit reports
• Ensures that the highest safety standards are maintained and continuously improved within their area of responsibility. KPI: Internal safety certificates, list of safety improvements
• Understand requirements documentation, develop test plans, break down test use cases, coordinate resources; align test scope and milestones with test manager/validation engineer, project manager for platform and vehicle and technical project leader. KPI: Test Plan, Test Use Case List (including Case Number, Priority), Resource Requirements List, Test Risk Assessment Form
• Finishing the execution plan of the test items; Clarifying the pre-set conditions, operating steps, expected results, and judging criteria for each Case; Completing fault injection tool / tool preparation confirmation. KPI: Detailed Test Procedure (Case by Case) "Failure Injection Tool Confirmation Report" "Test Environment Setup Record"
• Drive/operate the test vehicle according to the approved test procedure, execute all cases; record raw data (signal waveform, CAN message, fault code) Comparison of expected results, Pass/Fail determination; Preliminary root cause analysis of Fail items. KPI: Test Execution Report (.csv/.blf), Bug List, Final Test Summary Report
• Perform calibration of vehicle control modules especially motor control unit in hybrid drive/gearbox using industry- standard tools to optimize engine performance, shift quality, emissions and fuel economy. KPI: verified calibration parameters, definition and improvement suggestion for calibration process
