IAM / IDAM Engineer

Walter Everett is a niche technical recruitment company, and we are currently helping our clients to hire an IAM / IDAM Engineer with SailPoint and privileged access management (PAM) experience.

The role

You will join a global consultancy delivering identity and access management change for a financial services client. The work is in its scoping and project phases, and you will work alongside a senior consultant to implement the changes. The role is London based and hybrid, with three days a week on site. Around 60% of the role is SailPoint identity governance, and the remainder is privileged access management (PAM) work on the client's own PAM tool.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the scoping and delivery of identity governance and privileged access changes for a financial services client
• Configuring and building SailPoint identity governance, including joiner, mover and leaver lifecycle events, access requests and approvals
• Onboarding applications and systems to SailPoint, and building the connectors, rules and workflows that automate provisioning
• Setting up access certification (review) campaigns, role and entitlement models and segregation of duties policies
• Implementing and configuring PAM tooling, and onboarding privileged accounts and systems
• Scripting and automating tasks in PowerShell
• Supporting testing, deployment and documentation, working alongside a senior consultant

What you must have

• Hands-on SailPoint experience, including configuration and implementation work
• A good understanding of identity governance and administration, including joiner, mover and leaver, access requests, role and entitlement management and access certification
• A working knowledge of privileged access management tools. We don't expect any experience of the client's own PAM tool, but you should have worked with equivalent tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, WALLIX or One Identity
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills
• Experience of working on an implementation project, from scoping through to delivery
• Eligible for UK government SC security clearance, which typically requires 5 years of UK residency
• A clear, practical communicator who is comfortable working alongside a senior consultant and with client teams
• Happy to be on site in London three days a week

Interviews are competency based. You will be asked to demonstrate what you have implemented, how you did it and what you have advised on, so please come ready to talk through real examples from your own work, including SailPoint, privileged access tooling and PowerShell.
