IAM / IDAM Engineer

Walter Everett is a niche technical recruitment company, and we are currently helping our client to hire two IAM / IDAM Engineers. Both roles need hands-on identity and access management experience, and eligibility for UK government SC clearance. Please read both descriptions and tell us which suits you, or apply to both.

ROLE 1: IAM / IDAM Engineer (SailPoint & PAM), London

Hybrid, 3 days a week on site in London.

You will join a global consultancy delivering identity and access management change for a financial services client, working alongside a senior consultant. Around 60% of the role is SailPoint identity governance and the rest is privileged access management (PAM) work.

What you'll do

- Configure and build SailPoint identity governance, including joiner, mover and leaver, access requests and approvals

- Onboard applications and build the connectors, rules and workflows that automate provisioning

- Set up access certification campaigns, role models and segregation of duties policies

- Implement PAM tooling and onboard privileged accounts and systems

- Script and automate in PowerShell, and support testing and documentation

What you need

- Hands-on SailPoint configuration and implementation experience

- A working knowledge of PAM tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust or Delinea

- Strong PowerShell scripting and experience of an implementation project from scoping to delivery

- Eligible for UK government SC clearance

- Happy to be on site in London 3 days a week

Package: up to £85,000, plus 10% bonus, 25 days' holiday, 7% pension, and health and life insurance.

ROLE 2: IAM / IDAM Engineer (Microsoft Identity & PowerShell), Birmingham

Mainly remote, with one day a month in the client's Birmingham office.

You will join a team of two running a Windows-based identity management system for a government client, looking after around 5,000 users.

What you'll do

- Manage and support the identity and access platform day to day

- Script and automate identity tasks in PowerShell

- Look after accounts, groups and permissions across the joiner, mover and leaver lifecycle

- Manage authentication and privileged access, including MFA, Conditional Access and PIM

What you need

- Hands-on IAM experience in a Windows environment, with strong PowerShell

- Good knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID

- Experience of Conditional Access, PIM and Zero Trust principles

- Willing and eligible to hold UK government SC clearance
